When you get on the bus or train in NYC. Stay off your phone and pay attention to your surroundings
Great advice!!!!
🎯
Yeap, jungle around is dangerous.
Even with that person can over power you ..
💯 Agree. I still SEE MANY PPL ON THEIR PHONE STANDING RIGHT AT THE EDGE OF THE PLATFORM. People need to pay attention to their surroundings at all times. I am glad the guy is ok.
You can see evil in his eyes and facial expression. Terrible! I really hope they catch him before he does it again.
@FirefoxRoseNY has all homeless camps so these people are homeless they don't care if they get three years in prison that would be a break for them there on the street they don't care cause the facts are no one wants to house these immigrants and homeless Americas to it's an issue
That's the crack that he just finished smoking. The voices told him to push that man. The crack voices told him to do it. SMH
@FirefoxRose what happened?
I was hoping some body builder wrestler would intervene n tell him to get the f’k out of there before he gets carried out! Anybody who’s a body builder, look out for behavior like that n intervene the moment u see it, the fake lunges
You can see the mental illness in his eyes. They didn't do the mentally ill any favors by deregulating the psychiatric hospitals. Most mentally ill won't harm anyone but you don't know who is dangerous and who is not. They can't be forced into treatment or even forced to take their meds until they kill someone. It's a shame all around.
Please folks don't bury your head in your cell, and there's no reason why you need to stand on the edge of the platform. Situational awareness!
When I ride the New York City subway I always wear masks making sure I have hand sanitizer and staying away from a platform Edge when the train is pulling to the station that can also save lives

So if that dangerous offender is caught, will the court guarantees he will be removed from society forever ? I can guarantee NO.😅
In what society does this crime guarantee you a life sentence in jail? I'm all for putting bad people away but these comments are getting really stupid. Even in the most conservative states, this wouldn't remove someone from society forever.
Agree with Eniola, only solution for these people to get killed off. If there ever was a circumstance for a serial killer for good, literally serve no benefit to anyone and so far gone from reality that they're practically not living already..

I never liked subways, but .now it's ridiculous. That's premeditated. It could have been murder. That person needs to be locked up whether it's mental or jail.
He will be back on the streets within a week..
Is it an attempt at small scale genocide ?
the attacker is the victim. reward him.
I heard he was never caught
That dude looked crazy and looked like he was trouble! Thank God the victim is safe! When I went to visit Brooklyn in 2019 I had a huge Panic attack in the subway I can’t ride the subway either. I really thought I was gonna die down there.

And btw NYC has strict gun laws. Crime is everywhere and having a gun doesn’t always help. When I visit NYC I jus travel around in car now.

the problem is not police numbers, the problem is the law?
Yes - law is broken in NYC!
not even a cop in sight.
I don't think he would have committed that crime if a cop was around.
My ex used to tell me never to stand close to the edge of the platform. That's in the 90s. I thought he was crazy thinking that...
Pro tip that could save your life. Looking over the edge will not make the train appear or come any faster.
Lmao!!! I use to pace around and walk in circles thinking it would pop up out of nowhere so I wouldn't have to wait 🤣

Good points, but it is human nature-a sense of relief or reassurance the train is arriving soon and I have a chance at not being late.

That's the reason why I have my back against a wall or a foundation I won't move until that train arrives and when it arrives I wait until it completely stops and then when it opens the door .I don't trust Noone around me on that train platform ...
I used to live in the San Francisco area (Bay Area) and rode BART (the subway) daily to commute to work.
A young black man ran up to another young black man standing on the edge of the platform (no barriers on BART) and shoved him hard as a train was oncoming. I happened to be standing next to the victim, grabbed him by the hood on his hoodie, and yanked him back, or else he'd have tumbled onto the tracks. The attacker had already fled by then.
We need barriers on the subways to prevent accidental falls but also attacks like this one and the one I just described. I'm very surprised this isn't a lot more common. I never stood close to the platform edge and always stood at an angle so I could surveil my surroundings; if someone came up behind me and pushed me, no harm would be done. I also stayed off my cellphone so I could be aware of my surroundings, which is what everyone should be doing.
Basic situational awareness is called for when you traverse the concrete jungle.

There should be a police station in every train station. There’s one in Briarwood Queens NY and it’s safe. They have police standing up by the stairs and on the trains it makes you feel safe. NYC Gov needs to do this ASAP, subways are too dangerous now smh.

Sane New Yorkers should start applying for and training to use handguns, if the law won't protect you, you need to defend yourself. No loss if these demented creeps get shot for attacking you
They should be terminated instead of placed in jail. Once they are out, it WILL happen again. Kill or be Killed
That's right smoke them all
Noo why handguns? Handguns are the problem get rid of them learn how to fight with your fist
@@abelyau2501 you can use self defense like how professionals do when a suspect is trying to like knife you basically start with his right arm and then you twist it squeezing his veins where he will be very unconscious in the floor the floor and they have the good Samaritans come over and just prevent the suspect to flee the scene

For DECADES I've ALWAYS made sure I watched what and who was in front, sides and behind me. Why is it that people only now are doing this? Wow, not too many sharp knives in the drawer.

There was not a single cop on that station, especially because it’s in the Bronx and they don’t give it any importance. It’s disgusting to see this criminal taking premeditated steps to ensure he accomplished his mission of pushing this man to the tracks and causing his death. There are more criminals in the streets of NYC than there are cops. Many cops have quit because of how dangerous our city is becoming each passing year, and the same is going on in other states as well, this is not a NYC only problem. If this criminal is not arrested and detained he will surely do it again soon and maybe the next victim will not make it out alive. I hope they catch him and put him away on attempted murder charges.
I didn't understand why they don't trough himself.
This is attempted murder just appalling
Eyes all bucked up lol
shut the subway system down and overhaul it. make barriers so people cannot be shoved onto the tracks.
🗣️ People please, please, PLEASE pay attention!!! PLEASE take off the ear phones and stay off of your phone while or the train, at the bus stop, walking home, etc. It looks like this gentleman was texting or reading something on his phone....I could be wrong but even if I am, I see it all the time. People are not paying attention at all on the train. They sit down, get on their phones and never raise their head until it's time to get off. 🗣️The train station is not your home! Not while you're standing on the platform and not when you get your seat once you get on the train, should you let your guard down. You should always be on guard, paying attention to your surroundings!! The victim was very engrossed in something to not to have even seen the man launch at him from his peripheral vision. After he gave no indication whatsoever that he was paying ANY ATTENTION AT ALL when the man launched at him, the man then took his opportunity. I would have moved far away from that man once I saw him pacing back and forth as he was but you have to be looking around and paying attention to notice.Sit on the train where you can see everything, don't sit where someone can sit behind you and stand away from the tracks as you wait. Wait until it comes to a complete stop to start moving towards it but even when it comes to a complete stop, don't go near the tracks, head for the opening doors. Yeah, yeah, someone will say, we all say what we would and wouldn't do......say what you will. 🤷
🗣️Your head should not be down on the train or the platform, your ears should be clear so that you can ear and you should not be engrossed in text messaging or a phone call. It's just not that important. That's the bottom line. 🥺🥺

How about people stop standing at the edge ? There's no reason to check the train, when it's here then it's here.
