I was only thirteen and my best friend's mom paid for my ticket, and took us to see the Beatles that day. We got there about 2pm and I saw a guy that kind of looked like John, but a little bit chubby. I was there when he was asked to be a decoy in a limousine. That steered the awaiting fans in a different direction and the Beatles came to the stadium through another avenue. I'd like to thank all you for this post, and to the person with the song list.

(This is Robert's wife, Michelle, commenting) I attended the Seattle concert in 1966. Re the Times article quote: I don't think we came just to scream. The screaming was a by product of the sheer ecstasy of being in the same "room" with them. We had adored and followed them for at least 2 1/2 years and experiencing the reality of them as in- person human beings was overwhelming. I was 14. The music could be heard somewhat and I remember them talking and joking a little with the audience and among themselves too. They put lots of energy into their performance.

Sir, Thank you ! I have some very vivid memories of that concert ! I took the Union Pacific train from Riverside (by myself!) to L.A, to see the concert. I walked from Union Station to the stadium. I was 13 years old. I distinctly remember hearing "Sonny" by Bobby Hebb, however, people have argued with me telling me he was not there. I remember the Ronnetts and again arguments against that memory. I also remember what transpired after the show ended. My memories do not jive with the stories of armored cars or ambulances. I would love to communicate with someone who was there and still has a memory that work's !

My conclusion is based on YOUR commentary! Would you watch a movie with the sound turned off? Of course with the weak amplication it's not your fault you couldn't hear...your describing the scenes around you as fabulous....not the music you heard. For a concert to have any worth for me, I have to hear the music.
