  • Sometimes scammers don't send us their brightest and best. Nevertheless, they don't see that as an obstacle in their quest to steal money. The Major got the impression that "Ryan Morgan" and his team had heard the scam vaguely described to them and then decided to give it a go, because this bunch didn't even bother to claim they were from my bank's anti-fraud team, or that We Suspect Somebody At Your Local Bank Is A Criminal. They just pretended to be from Visa Security - and for reasons of Each And Everything, Ryan and his unseen Manager wanted The Major to withdraw 20 grand from his bank account and send it to them. "Just give me a moment."
