Everything Brucester buys he takes it apart or breaks it! Reason argosy looks so cool is the way it’s set up! Gonna look like doo doo jacked up in bigger tires.
Considering I know him, and I know the love he puts into his builds, and his trucks, and the fact that you’re going to absolutely destroy it. This is a bummer.
Super shocked when I saw the thumbnail.. this is one of my favorite spec Argosy daycab flat top tandem axles👌 Glad you bought it Bruce! Please keep it and never sale it. Im excited to see future content🔥🔥👍
Now this is a hot truck! Drove cabovers in my early days and still have a good feel about them. Put this on a grain trailer and go truckin'! Hell, I'd (almost) come out of retirement to drive this!
Pretty sure I passed you on 62 when I was going to Monterey to buy a msd starter yesterday around 11:30. I was like that’s cool rig Wilson needs that lol
These trucks had lower tires to get under low bridges. Taller trailers. Short wheel base navigating in the urban areas. This truck might have been used for hauling spec loads. Heavy loads, 14 foot trailers in texas and washington state. The argosy curtainside autohauler averaged 7 miles per gallon. That i drove. Series 60 2001 15 liter 10 speed. All centuries, argosy and columbias that i drove all had an air operated tilt wheel. Mercedes owns freightliner.. hence the engineering. This truck might have been speced for 57 foot 14 high trailers hauling paper in washington state or texas. And yes there are places that have truck and other speed limits.
Sounds like you need to ask Jason the original owner of the truck if you can have permission to use that doodle of the truck as a design for a t-shirt, hat or something else. That would be a really cool design to have on a shirt!
Omg lake got his cdl i told ya now ryan has to get his i havent been watchin any vids because im back to work and return to truckin brcause you guys i was gona give it up but you guys made me me realize its in my blood that 14hr kickin my but so i done fell behind but yall know im #1fan❤
No hidden argosy steps like an old British lorry when they stepped on the wheel hub🤨 freightliner did consider these for the UK but they said they were too wide
The rates Freightliner charges for making ECM adjustments are insane. You’d think for spending money on a DTNA product, they’d be a little better about it. We spent a small fortune when we had adjustments made on our fire co water tanker.
What a beautiful truck, love it In Europe we´ve got theese super low trucks with very slim low profile tires too, they are called lowliners, and also got super flat fith wheels, to get 120" of inside hight of the semitrailer instead of 110" only with standard trailers.
Could be fun to see you guys go to Australia and buy some COE trucks from American truck manufacturers. They got some serious cool American COE trucks down under
@@davidsesona4156As I understand some of them are produced (as parts) in the US and then shipped down under and assembled down under. And they have retained some of the 90s COE look that you saw in the US in the 90s - obviously with some design upgrades to look more modern. I love the American conventional long hood trucks, but as a European I also like the Cabover design. Especially those you saw back in the 90s USA/Canada. And now those American cabover you see in Australia/New Zealand with their American styling
In space there is no up and down. We just happen to be on a giant rock with water in space where there is no up and down. If you’d like to get technical lol
I like the western star 4900, sorry for sounding like a nerd but that truck literally resembles the G2 optimus prime. I always wondered what prime would look like as a western star long nose truck.
That truck would make a cool tow truck with with a clean under reach. Turning it into an rv or overland vehicle would be really cool. You should build a custom short trailer that is like a lounge or hangout room inside with ac and tvs on the wall. A kick back place for when you are at shows.
Great you bought a truck that doesn't need anything . Now how are you going to mess it up ! Cause we all know you cant leave anything alone ! Next video the top will be chopped off of it and it will be sitting out in the rain !! 8 days between video's thought I was watching Gentry's channel !
except for the squarish box on the side, and colors, stripes and all, that's one of the nicest trucks i've seen. it's not fancy, but it's less is more type thing. people can really mess up a good truck with more than is necessary. it's a truck, not a show-boat...
You know when I really Look at an Argosy I think to my self how did Freightliner come up with the looks on this thing you need to go back to the 1960s and watch a episode of an old Speed Racer cartoon called the Mamouth Car it may be cool if you got some new LO Pro tires but me personally I like Tall Rubber and be cautious once you screwup that Cable shifter you probably will need to replace it not a DIY job will have to be done by a Eaton Fuller transmission Specialist service center $$$
Why is it when I try to watch these videos I get a long commercial with a message saying that the long commercial is to replace more shorter commercials only to be presented with another long commercial a few minutes later.
Our brother Bruce repeats himself 40 times each episode… next episode I’m going to take shots when he says scania and hope I’m not sloppy drunk at the end hahaha… jokes aside. This truck is beautiful for a daily worker… just fix all the stuff that makes the driver comfortable… because no one wants to drive a rig regardless how beautiful if it’s painful and kicking your ass. I can’t wait to see this baby done though.
the south african argosy trucks looks so much better on the inside compared to the USA ones. but finally its good to see some argosys running in the usa
So if it's a California truck does it still have all the EGR and scr stuff on it? out here it's required I'm not sure in PA I do the equivalent of a smog check for cars on heavy duty trucks at work hah maybe a few a week
Doesn't matter what we say, you're going to do what you want to do, and that's take it apart.
He could mess up a good dream
Well then it probably isen't his in current form @@rodneystewart8958

Freightliner had that air disconnect wheel back in 2005 Hoss. Them 255’s will make 10 good spares for your RGN. That should have 255’s on it
Tires are separating inside Im glade you made it home. Id definitely get some fronts before I went out again.
I like the quarter fenders and box between the steer and drive axles
Great look for that cab over !! Great buy !!
I have a feeling that’s an old hay hauler setup. Lots of argosy’s day cabs down here in California that were used as hay hauling rigs.
Ex Dirksen/Gardner truck
Congrats on the new to you Cab Over. My Uncle drove one for years up here in Canada. He pulled full Gasoline Pups from the Refinery. He loved it. 🇨🇦
Pretty sure I passed you on 62 when I was going to Monterey to buy a msd starter yesterday around 11:30. I was like that’s cool rig Wilson needs that lol
You could use a disc brake conversion on your cabover from one of those salvage trucks.
WOW - that is an INCREDIBLY rare beast, especially here in North America...
Dope new rig!! Never thought I’d actually like it as a day cab setup but I’d get one sitting just as low if I could
I think you would do well turning it into a wrecker. It has the turning radius and the power to be good at it.
Get that cb in this truck plus change those tireds So you arrive will be very nice and smooth
Hey Bruce that is a really nice Freightliner Cabover just keep the stripes on it and put bigger tyres on it if you are going too use it all the time.

I had a 75 El Camino. When I shattered the spider gears in it. It went thru the diff. cover and it raised the rear-end of the truck
Looks like a sweet truck👍 Have a great Sunday my friend.

That experience you had at the tire place... Welcome to Hagerstown.

His truck his ideas his moneylet him do his thing and quit the negativity.
In aus argosy are dime a dozen and there good trucks cheap for when u start subbing
The rates Freightliner charges for making ECM adjustments are insane. You’d think for spending money on a DTNA product, they’d be a little better about it. We spent a small fortune when we had adjustments made on our fire co water tanker.
the trd tri color livery's on everything is so sickkk
Check the king pins before alignment!

Needs crome bumper and crome front grill and a crome gard at the top to top it off add new lights and add your logo then b on point 🙂
Sweet truck.... you need a landoll trailer painted to match to pull with it, save the rgn for heavy and equipment hauls, good luck with it
I think you should put. Landoll tilt deck behind it to move the salvage trucks around
I’m really digging the looks on this truck
I'm really beginning to H8 (BE JEALOUS) of your collection. ANOTHER GREAT CATCH!
Thats a bad ass trailer too.
Add a sleeper to it and re-sale
It! People really love Canovers but not enough of them on
The road
We have those freightliner cabovers in Australia and New Zealand aswell
Maybe some Super singles maybe a nice chrome Merritt cab gaurd on the Argosy
Be old school and keep the 255s on the steers and run 11r22.5s on your drives helps the ride and get your road speed back up
actually looks like you know what your doing with that rotator now! you been to the training course? We still need more SCANIA content tho!
Not just the Scania, but also the 389 camper truck
That is a rad looking cab over never seen one like it
Freightliners are awesome. They’re better than a Kenworth or Pete with a Paccar engine.
Cant say flew down when you flew up buddy!!! Lol
Drew the funny guy
i always say my buddy flew down when he flys up from florida for some reason lol
Depends on where you put your zero dude.

Please send that music 🎶 back to where it came from
Beautiful truck. Good luck with it
Nice truck. The cab shape reminds me of a 1970's Volvo F88.
From that camera it looks cool like it’s got taller tires on steers !
Hey Bruce, next time you jack the cab up, make sure you open the grill at the front of the Truck otherwise you may damage it
Yeah bigger tires? If swapping fithwheel block it up. Bigger tire not going to make it ride better. But whatever ,then figure out how to step up in.
You should get into contact with ron pratt and he can give you more insight on the rotator..
Put Michelin anti splash super singles on with the anti splash rib on they look aggressive definitely need them on the scanias
Pumped for this one! I have a k104 kenworth cabover with 14l 60 series detroit straight piped, with 18speed, tuned!
That thing is seriously dope. Very cool.

Apparently, Freightliner is bringing back the FWD Cabovers from the past. When I am not to sure, but soon...
I havent seen one of those cab overs that body style in years
The Argosy was the last class 8 cab-over truck made for North America.
ABSOLUTELY-----> OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!. 🙂

Ask Tim Gentry about those trucks , he's an argosy wizard .

It needs dual stacks and a headache rack
It's a very nice truck for a nice truck. Guys two of them are modifications on there it'll be fine
Freightliner argosy are cool trucks we have one to tow our towtahome
WesternStar trucks a very well built. The trucks I drove pulled mountains of weight and took a lot of abuse and kept going.
The only way to unplug the speed sensor successfully is to jump it with a paperclip that prevents a check engine light from coming on
love it i was only hoping for a Argosy i love mine also a 2007 265 inch wheel base
I have the exact same truck here in Australia but I have the 18spd automatic
I wonder if it was an old Gardner Trucking truck
It was Dirksen/Gardner
You will figure a way to screw it up😂

Love the new cabover, wish more of those style cabovers like the K200 were in america more
K220 now my man. Check it out
I use to drive the Freightliner argosy 18 speed eaton fuller manual, can shift it like no body's business.

Do a video about shimming the RGN. Why, how, when, etc
One of the fed ex or ups single axles would make a cool short trailer for the short cab.
