I'm an 'empty nester' now but these are great tips. Just because you live alone doesn't mean there aren't gifts to order, wrap and mail off, shopping, baking treats, decorating, social engagements and travel.

Last few months at the age of 63 I settled after a 3 yr divorce battle. I went from a very large unhappy house to a much smaller house but I’m so much happier. For the 1st time I’ve already started decorating early for Christmas. Your videos have also helped me organize my kitchen cupboards and it’s so nice cooking in an organized space and smaller kitchen. I created two list that I use before packing for travels. The first list includes everything I typically use for a weekend trip, the second list consist of items needed for trips that last 3 or more days. My list is kept in a folder where I can easily refer to it before traveling. In addition, I added additional lines which allow me to include/write down added items. I dislike creating a new list for every new trip, especially when I take the same thing. This simple but effective action, helps me maintain sanity, pack everything I need and feel organized.
Love the idea of storing measuring cups/spoons in the baking bowl. 😊

Great ideas. I am working on all of this right now. Good tip about donation now rather than later.
I donate about every other month so my home stays clutter free just load it into the car and whenever you are passing a donation location drop it off
Last week it was old fancy outfit .this week animal shelter with old linens

I'd like to try out some special Nigella desserts this Christmas, as my family is here to stay with us. I no longer have the energy due to BC but plan to collect the ingrediens and recipe for when they arrive and let them do the jobb. It is a good thing to delegate tasks when family is staying over, it will never offend anyone. Compliments on your hair style and what a gorgeous sweater colour - it suits you SO well. Merry Christmas 🙂
Love your tips in this timely video. Because of age and pandemic issues, travel and holiday visits are not feasible. I am going to set up a schedule with family/friends for zoom/calls so we can see one another and sing a carol or two. Happy holidays to you.

I'd recommend keeping a few 'flexi use' food storage canisters/ spice jars that you can pull out and use for any goods that need to be kept airtight that you don't typically use any other time of year or for when you might receive a gift that needs keeping airtight and can also come in handy at other times, like when you get a new puppy who is an extremely picky eater and you need to keep half a dozen different kinds of treats fresh until they're big enough to try the treats your older dog typically eats, an issue we're having at present. Then they blend in with your other items in the cupboard/ pantry until they're used up, or in our case, find a permanent occupant if it turns out that the new addition doesn't grow large enough to enjoy the same treats as her 'big sister' or has different dietary requirements etc. We have some that are labelled using chalkboard labels instead of our standard labels so whilst they don't look EXACTLY the same they still work in with the other containers

My greatest source of stress is buying individual gifts for my extended family of 8 AND spending $270 on shipping! 😫 Last yr I thought it'd be so much better to mail a food item bc they live out of state & it would work for the adults & kids. Everything I found online was outrageously expensive for very little product & they all looked so cheap! Any suggestions Nikki would be greatly appreciated.😘

I don’t celebrate Xmas but in our holiday we usually only give to children. We also ask the parents what the children want and often we do a group gift for a higher ticket item
I often keep a cardboard box ( Costco gives them out fur free ) to make a station for baking or gift wrapping so it’s all in one area

I find your videos very interesting and useful but I must admit that I find it somewhat difficult to see the ideas when they are written in white and being shown on a white background
God the mental load for women is exhausting
