In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Agreed. Many don't realize that what he does, keeps tons of metal out of landfills as well. He provides a service, makes a little coin and helps the environment. ~ Not a thing in the world wrong with that. There is so much waste in this world, it is crazy. Re-purposing and recycling are the way to go.

I’m only asking because I’ve had multiple back surgeries, and now have titanium and screws up & down my spine….so can relate to your predicament. God bless and I hope you’re now up and getting around better. ❣️✌🏻

For the futuer. Freon cans are recyclable. You just have to verify they are empty. Write empty on it and put a hole in it so they know it's not under pressure.

Mike I just gotta say thank u, I look forward to watching a video or 2 after a hard day. U are funny and pretend we’re w u in the scavenging. Bless u and ur wife.. One thing I think u should do is pull t truck closer to the dumpster so u don’t have to work as hard, also maybe carry an extra pair of shoes and socks w u in case of any juice or paint or anything else 🤮. Also maybe carry a shovel w u and when stuff is on top of good stuff idk maybe take some stuff out, but then again u know better ur diving into the grody dumpsters. Coin shortage is dropping off in major metro areas already, judgments for small claims and civil stuff (like default medical/credit) have exploded in some places in number. Manufacturing is starting to pop back up and with the issues with China supply is having to be sourced locally so I'd imagine most metals will be on an uptick, which is great for the scrapping community!
Gold and silver have gone way up. No joke. I am sure some of the other precious metals will go up too. SS, Copper.

They have those sockets with the pins inside that fit any nut. I carry one of those in my vehicles with a yard sale ratchet, because they come in handy.

You need a pair of knipex cobra mini pliers and a small crescent wrench I carry both daily you'd be amazed what you can do with them
