Renal physiology: fast and easy renal clearance or clearance

What is renal clearance or clearance (renal clearance) is defined and how it is determined is explained. The physiological principle of equilibrium is briefly described as a basic concept to understand renal clearance. It describes what renal clearance is used for. It shows how renal creatinine and inulin clearance are determined and how they are related to glomerular filtration volume. In addition, it is shown how the renal clearance of para-aminohippuric acid (PAH) is determined and how it is related to the renal plasma flow.
