After the price is announced by the seller the first person to talk loses. I sold cars for 10 years. I'd go 5 minutes in silence sometimes waiting for the customer to talk first 😂

You can see at the end of the video when the kid was making the trade and asking for $50 more with the Jefferson, how his father was basically saying it’s a good card and more money isn’t needed. That was his way of telling the kid that it’s not the other kids responsibility to give you more money, based on what you sell the Jefferson for. That is not how trade deals work amongst two people unless a dealer is involved.
The kid would have gave an extra hundred for sure. Since he said no to that and the 50, I would have walked over it. Just cause he’s trading up into better cards.
The wife did not waste a second snagging that cash after he bought the Pee Wee Reese card.

There's a reason why that Pee Wee Reese card wasn't graded and only the auto is authenticated.
Id say the Reese auto was a very fair deal on both sides. Shame the card condition itself was not graded.

I bought autographed Salvador Dali lithographs from Pristine in 2016. I sent them back to Pristine to be auctioned this year and they were not authenticated and sent back to me. Beware.

Geoff…What I respect about you is how honest you are when making deals. You don’t say to the camera one thing, and then try to “car salesman” the person you’re making a deal with. The deal for the Reese was a great example of that. Well done.

Peewee is definitely more scarce, but he also has significantly fewer collectors, so 100 plus on Koufax should still be more valuable than 14 Reeses.
The Pristine Auction code is only if you have never registered before. I won my 1st auction but had already been registered and they did not honor the promo code. FYI to ya'll.
Never have been to the national, but as much as people complain about the older dealers like John, they are genuinely interested in talking about the cards and the backstory behind them, the grades, the autos. It's better then the aggressive and annoying dealings with some of the more modern dealers.

I watch these national videos to laugh at the sticker prices on cards. Funniest one I saw was a precious genesis rc $5 card with a sticker price of $150. Glad I didn’t go

Do you purchase entire collections? I have alot of rookies including a wemby 15/25 as well as other wemby cards and other baseball basketball football RC'S, None graded though.
I look forward to Geoffs videos at the national every year! He buys the coolest stuff! I love vintage on card autos. I am in no position to purchase big cards like the Pee Wee Reese, but I love seeing Geoff get that stuff

The FCC needs to start taking a serious look at convention centers and their intentional blocking of cell phone signals. The intent is the venue’s opportunity to sell expensive WiFi to the show’s vendors.

Koufax isn't a common signer, that card was only slightly higher than his signing fee. Yaz is a good signer (I've got a Venny and high grade base, my PSA 7 sold for a measly $1500; I rarely guess double the sale price.) Only 1-2/yr, but at a fair price and one of the most iconic RC's behind Nolan Ryan, 85 McGwire and 89 Griffey UD.

How is any Burrow 8.5 graded card worth over 5k? Burrow hasn't done anything, like maybe if it was a 10 but 8.5 at 5k? Shows how crazy everything is now

Add 95% of people won't even know they're buying resealedpacks_from reshrinked&relowgostampd boxes.FN_krooks all over this so called hobby & most just look the other way or they're n on a fix too! Great get, I’m not an autograph guy, however, this auto just fits the card….beautiful card and a beautiful auto to match. Hard time verbalizing what I meant but bottom line, the autograph enhances the card. At times there are autographs that take away from the card but not this one, outstanding!
Nice pick up on the Reese now don't forget to take it to PSA and get the card graded and show us what it got!

Love these videos, I had one remark though, you often show the cards your dealing for on your displays mid-trade, before the deal is done, which spoils the fact that you got the deal done! Which takes a little bit of excitement out of it, I dont know if that is something you could do differently but wanted to mention it.

The pee wee Reese is one of my favorite buys I’ve seen you make. Great card, love that you are passionate about the history of that man. More folks should learn about him. Definitely doesn’t get his fair due, and if he ever does, that card will be a holy grail example.

That Pee Wee Reese auto is absolutely pristine and, completely priceless. It's kind of hard to tell what the grade would fall in unless you see it in person but, I think it would grade closer to the 7?
