skyrim really feels like a safe space that we can all come back to, no matter when or where we are in our lives already
now imagine skyrim populated with the usual types from online games, one shot killing you with op meta gear and raiding all your inventory and carrying your dead body to most remote weird places and doing magical things to it, like probably ending up in a ritual circular formation made of deceased naked players

Damn, I wish I could erase all of my memories of Skyrim so that I can go back and play it again... but that is truly what makes it magical. I loved all my play throughs of Skyrim as each one was unique; but the true joy of this game is the memories we made along our journey. It was the quest that no matter what play through we were in, we had to play. It was the weapon that we had to collect and upgrade at the grind stone. The spell we had to level our magika up to unlock. The armor piece that we thought looked too cool to be left out of a play through. It was these moments that made Skyrim so special to us today. And for that, I thank this game for all the joy it gave me... see you around old friend.

that's why it's sometimes great to have ADHD. I haven't played New Vegas since 2010 when I was in my mid 20's. Purchased it on Steam 2 months ago and it was all brand new except for a couple tiny story parts which I only remembered what happend- not the words that were spoken. It was like playing it for the first time all over again.
Not just erasing, but also thrown back in time, to actually have time to play it again. D4 will be coming out soon, Open Beta is available now. I do not know if the game will be good or bad, but I know I do not have time to play it this weekend. I know I will not have time to play it even half serious later. Same with every game. Sometimes only having online social life (gaming online not Instagram and social media) would be beneficial (only half joking)
I just started it for the first time.

It's weird how such good memories can hurt almost just as much as bad memories sometimes. I can barely make myself listen to Lord of the Rings soundtracks because I sob like a little baby.

I remember getting a Kinect to try to use shouts, literally screaming at it FUS RO DA and having no results

sometimes you have to reload the game after enabling kinect in game options to be able to use the thu'um. Otherwise, it might only accept other commands. and don't forget to keep LB pressed while shouting fus ro dah.
it's really satisfying to play while shouting yourself. after i started, i can't play without it. besides, the "sort by" commands are really handy.

Happy 10th birthday, Skyrim! You were one of the first open-world games I had ever played. I was eleven when this game came out and to see its lasting impact makes me so happy. I plan to listen to this music for the rest of my life. :)

As I get older I realize it gets harder and harder to remember times as good as when this game 1st came out. I can still feel it like it was only yesterday. That bittersweet feeling of knowing even though life is hard, bills are getting higher, groceries more expensive, all around cost of living has gone up, friends arent so friendly anymore and social media has created a whole new generation of Zombies, but then I hear this. The soft, sweet and suttle sounds of pure, unruined, untarnished, innocent and joyful nostalgia and even if only temporary I can feel myself smiling ear to ear. Thank you Elder Scrolls for the few good remaining memories!

I remember so well.... feels like yesterday...everyday I'm just getting older it seems....it seems like it's going so much faster and I age...I was 15 when I got my hands on this game in 2011. Such a great game, I had no worries but go to school and hang out with my friends. I'm 24 now and it's all over. Now I have the responsibility of contributing to society everyday. The good old times.

@@maxtrulocke 94 here, exactly the same for me, I rmemeber my character going out of that cave and into the vast, cold world. I was so fascinated - at a friend's house, no way I could play the game on my own computer, it was just not good enough haha. The nights I would spend on this game... I'd only switch of when the sun would rise and then I'd watch it, still full of this peculiar feeling you have when you're not entirely back to your plan.
I'm grown, and a teaching in training, I stll play from time to time but I mostly listen to the songs when working. I have my pupils listen to it sometimes, it really works on kids !
You make me wanna cry, i have the same thoughts. The life was so peaceful back there and now it's so pointless and scary and full of responcibilities which you have just becuse it is something sosiety demands. I just want to lie down, listen to this music, close my eyes and disappear.
I feel you guys but idk, I am playing a ton of skyrim right now because I have a 6 month paid break between jobs because of Corona and I feel that I just can no longer escape into video games and not give a shit about the World around me like I did as a teen. It want to look at the real world, See the real challenges, take part in them and I want responsibility. I didn't think it would be that way, but I really changed since I immersed myself into this game the last time.
I'm 44 with a 4 yr old, full time job, and fiance. Still play at least 5 hr a week. You don't have to give up what you love, just prioritize. I'm not on social media much, still spend time with family and friends and have a clean house. It takes scheduling but it can be done.

Skyrim's soundtrack is by far the best soundtrack I have ever heard to this day. It never gets old, and is absolutely perfect for focusing on reading or studying or anything! It also has the most nostalgic sound for those who have been playing Skyrim for years, myself included. It lets you escape into the world of Skyrim while simultaneously letting you focus on what you are doing in the real world 10 times better. Just bravo.

I can't say how many times these soundtracks save my bacon each day. Work, home and life can be a stress, but a bit of nostalgia and relaxing tunes make all that far less of an issue.

Skyrim is like life. In life you also take quests, but unlike Elder Scrolls skyrim you never finish them, because the leveling system is broke and characters are imbalanced, without even an ability to choose one you want from the start.
Dev's also long abandoned it. We can only pray they will come back to fix everything and do a remastered version.
Rumor says, they only will do a remaster if everyone does the quests they want you to from their last update. Not everyone agrees but has no choice anyway, we're suck in this reality.
Mods. Mods. Mods. There's some stellar mods made by stellar people (and a bunch of chaff as well).

на самом деле такая приятная фоновая музыка, да тут не то что музыка, атмосфера, горда и все в таком духе, я иногда захожу в скайрим что бы просто покайфовать по исследовать окрестности, а не задания выполнять, игре хот и 10 лет, но она даже лучше некоторых современных игр, в жанре средневековья!!!

It's 2022 and I found this channel searching for some background music to play at my small bookstore. Never did play the game, though my kids 'wasted' hours at it, only to have me chase them outside to the 'real' world to play. Now that they're grown I have more free time and guess who is now wasting time playing Skyrim? Amazing that a decade + old game can still garner new players via a RUclips channel that offers its music.

The game, the setting, the mods, the music....still one of the greatest games of all time and the special edition made me love it all over again. I have lost hours to this.
Those countless hours were not lost friend, but instead used in a way that make you happy. Those happy hours will be thought back on when you are old and grey and you will think "ah the good times"
This music score gives me nostalgia I never knew I had. Being a freshman in college, I’m excruciatingly busy, and as I sit outside and listen to this, it takes me back to when I had time to play Skyrim and how I enjoyed messing around n loving the graphics😢 R.I.P good times

this is wonderful, how ever it messed me over massively. i didnt have headphones for my ps4 controller and had to play skyrim muted. to make up for it i played this and then didnt realise a dragon and a bear had snuck up on me because the fight music didnt start playing
Something I just realized is how much Skyrim was the video game equivalent of Harry Potter for a generation
There’s a magic to this game
Everything from it’s story, characters, journey, down to the magic, weapons, and armor
Some chose the other of a warrior, other the magician/wizard…
But most (it seems) took the thief’s path mixed in with something else
Still, it holds its weight even after all this time
I agree, I think it’s because the setting in both worlds is so rich with atmosphere and detail.
The first time hearing this when you’re walking out of the cave with hadvar after the tutorial is truly something else, takes me back to 2013 :,)
13 years on I can still remember some of the alchemy ingredient combinations - Giant's toe + wheat gives you potion of fortify health - useful enough but can also be sold for $$$ compared to the ingredient costs!

Yet Today this channel is the only one with HQ music. All the other channels that do this type of content, they usually don't care much about the source of the audio they're uploading, and eventually all music out there is hard to listen and makes it even harder to relax and enjoy. at 2:00 that's my exact wallpaper on my phone/computer. Skyrim is just one of those games that will never die because of it's quality, the quantity of things to do, the community who plays it, and above all it's soundtrack is one of a kind. No other game can match its feel and quality.

When I am doing school work, this makes me feel like it's going to be a huge discovery, and/or suddenly turn into alchemy.
The last time I was playing Skyrim I got a phone call that my mom had died. It’s been 7 years and I haven’t been able to come back to the game since. I loved the game so much, but the unfortunate connection of the game and my mother’s death is unfortunately too much to bear.
