From the few hints you get from Frisks actual personality they actually seem much more kind-hearted and optimist, a bit like the opposite of Chara, but as players, we can’t really put blame on ourselves, someone must take the blame whether under their interpretation is Frisk or Chara. It’s kinda sad though, I believe a lot of people ignore how messed up I’d be to just have met monsters and all of them try to kill you or hurt you, The fallen humans must be traumatized lol
My favorite thing about this animation is it captures both the fact that Frisk is being thrown many dangerous attacks, but at the same time that they’re constantly doing poses and goofing around with Mettaton. It portrays this double of both being in great danger and also having tons of fun, an element that I think is there, but not really able to be conveyed well, in Undertale

Honestly this is what makes us all think Grillby only serves alcohol and not things like water or soda (as a living fire he could most likely just burn off any alcohol that hits him). You can't order a drink when you go with Sans, all the bottles look like alcohol bottles, and even the cups you see look like shot glasses or maybe just simple glasses that could have anything in them.
He definitely could get a job in the animation industry if he isn't already in the field. His directing and storyboarding demonstrates he can write, direct, and animate. He'll have his own show one day if he wants that.

I have always loved the fact that Mettaton calls Frisk " Darling." It just always warmed my heart. It's like they have a real connection, even when He is trying to kill Them. Then when he says " Knock 'em dead, Darling." Hits me every time. I love this animation! That dancing in sync moment is my favorite!
No matter how long since it’s debut, this animatic is a timeless classic. The style is adorable and faithful, the characters are spot on in even the most subtle ways, and the choreography is magnificently done. But let’s not forget the exceedingly well done caller segment! The amount of emotion portrayed in that scene is staggering, it really feels like this is how the original game wanted to portray it. All of this, and it was your first voyage into rough animation at all! Absolutely beautiful work, Alyssa Gerwig.

I love watching this fight whenever I need a pick-me-up. I also love how it’s not just the fight, it’s the calls afterwards as well. The animation makes you smile along with the characters. It’s been seven years since this came out, it’s still one of the most popular, and it absolutely deserves it.

@C F yea, but it takes your energy and determination. You feel like you need to rest. And when you are ready to do another animation you think youraelf that its more joy to do it with no colours. Thats why the team is important.
@C F exactly, what we see here would be like key frames and then less experienced animators would do the illustrations between the key frames. Unfortunately that is incredibly time consuming, which is why most animated shows are going 3d. Hell even the most recent dragon ball super movie had 3d animation and anime is one of the last holdouts of traditional animation, although 3d animes are coming out. Even 2d shows use 3d animation sometimes. Most people are aware of the CG colossal titan in attack on titan, but s lot of people don't realize the backgrounds in a lot of the fast moving action scenes is 3d animation. Levi getting chased by the military police is a particularly good example. Even pure 2d animations will use 3d software for tracking on shots where the camera rotates. This is used to great effect in my hero academia when deku and bakugo fight the second time

I've always thought the "humans have stars and idols but monsters only have me" line was purely selfish, and while there's no doubt mettaton is a very selfish person, I think I'm starting to understand he's not *purely* selfish. I think in this moment he saw how much happiness he really brought to people just by being himself. how much a star to look up to in this gloomy prison of an underground means to people. I think mettaton understands people like him are what keep the underground from complete despair. gives them something to look foreward to. in the genocide route too it shows how he really does care about the underground. even if he's cut down quickly, he is one of the three people who dated to stand up to this absolute monster who is slaughtering everyone. he could have fled along with the others but he would rather try his best to hold this monster back it's little bits and pieces of this flamboyant, selfish, and stuck up robot having a bit of humanity that I love about this character so much
He's isn't only a robot- he's actually a ghost called happstablook ( nappstablooks cousin) which used to live next to nappstablook. Alpyss built him a a robot vessel which I think is why alpyss is sad after you beat mettanon.

That's my fav part of the song! Everyone says 1:49 it's, don't get me wrong, I love everything of Death By Glamour. But I think that part it's kinda underrated

From 1:18 to 1:30 I knew with increasing certainty that I was sold. The best thing about this fight in game was that you could just vogue at Metaton if you wanted, and the fact that you leaned into that delights me. I love watching this fight whenever I need a pick-me-up. I also love how it’s not just the fight, it’s the calls afterwards as well. The animation makes you smile along with the characters. It’s been seven years since this came out, it’s still one of the most popular, and it absolutely deserves it.

@C F yea, but it takes your energy and determination. You feel like you need to rest. And when you are ready to do another animation you think youraelf that its more joy to do it with no colours. Thats why the team is important.

@C F exactly, what we see here would be like key frames and then less experienced animators would do the illustrations between the key frames.
Unfortunately that is incredibly time consuming, which is why most animated shows are going 3d. Hell even the most recent dragon ball super movie had 3d animation and anime is one of the last holdouts of traditional animation, although 3d animes are coming out.
Even 2d shows use 3d animation sometimes. Most people are aware of the CG colossal titan in attack on titan, but s lot of people don't realize the backgrounds in a lot of the fast moving action scenes is 3d animation. Levi getting chased by the military police is a particularly good example.
Even pure 2d animations will use 3d software for tracking on shots where the camera rotates. This is used to great effect in my hero academia when deku and bakugo fight the second time

I've always thought the "humans have stars and idols but monsters only have me" line was purely selfish, and while there's no doubt mettaton is a very selfish person, I think I'm starting to understand he's not *purely* selfish. I think in this moment he saw how much happiness he really brought to people just by being himself. how much a star to look up to in this gloomy prison of an underground means to people. I think mettaton understands people like him are what keep the underground from complete despair. gives them something to look foreward to. in the genocide route too it shows how he really does care about the underground. even if he's cut down quickly, he is one of the three people who dated to stand up to this absolute monster who is slaughtering everyone. he could have fled along with the others but he would rather try his best to hold this monster back
it's little bits and pieces of this flamboyant, selfish, and stuck up robot having a bit of humanity that I love about this character so much
He's isn't only a robot- he's actually a ghost called happstablook ( nappstablooks cousin) which used to live next to nappstablook. Alpyss built him a a robot vessel which I think is why alpyss is sad after you beat mettanon.

From 1:18 to 1:30 I knew with increasing certainty that I was sold. The best thing about this fight in game was that you could just vogue at Metaton if you wanted, and the fact that you leaned into that delights me.
