2:55 In the Superman comics (and movies, TV shows, etc.), Krypton is the name of the home planet of Superman, who is famously vulnerable to the substance kryptonite (often said to be formed from fragments of the destroyed planet Krypton). But those are fictional things, and I don't know how they are related to the real gas krypton...? 🦸
I love the total whiplash when introducing Thorium by seeing the other chemicals before it Edit: I am so fucking stupid, they're elements, not chemicals 😭
@@SimplyCody They’re all female (going by female pronouns) but don’t hate me for it. I wouldn’t care if someone did the same with males. Anyway, I really like Cupra (also known as Sister Copper), the copper girl. She’s kind, and very flexible, and conductive, as well as pretty.
Darmstadt is a city in the German state Hesse, not a state. Hassium and Darmstadtium were both discovered at the Institute for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt, Hesse.
My sis and I made a series called Periodic Sisters personifying the elements of the periodic table. They’re all female, but don’t use that against us. I’d be okay if someone did the same with all male. Here’s some of the examples of what the characters are like: Sister Hydrogen: Very sociable yet quick to anger, lightweight. Sister Helium: Kind of an introvert, very calm, lightweight. Sister Carbon: Nature-lover, can crystallize. Sister Aluminum: Strong, lightweight, flexible, good planner, casual. Sister Chlorine: Villainous, violent and warlike. Sister Copper: Flexible, very electric and heat-conductive, kind. Sister Lead: Villainous, creepy/sneaky, heavy but very vulnerable to scratches.
im also making a series called "the elements", named after tom lehrer's song, they're also based on some of the elements' properties and chemical structure examples: hydrogen and helium both float because they're the lightest elements carbon is an environmentalist because she's the basis of life fluorine suffers from panic attacks because he's the most reactive element copper is the oldest member because she was the first element discovered most of the toxic elements (arsenic, mercury, and thallium) are very rude rubidium has extreme paranoia because she's very reactive tungsten is a bodybuilder because he's the strongest material astatine tries to stay hidden because he's the rarest element some transuranium elements have strange quirks and are radioactive
I made a series personifying the elements. The bismuth character is not fat like that lol. She’s kind-hearted and cares for others. On the other hand, her sister lead is a sadistic villain, and the two sometimes fight.
Justice for gallium he just tryna make tea
Poor guy :(
4:40 why does this guy look so cool
tbh i always imagined the noble gases (helium, neon, argon, etc.) wearing crowns cuz noble
My sis imagined them as aromantics
@@elisabeth5995lol
I mean I drew elements as humans they do have crowns but don’t wear them
i imagine them as like a super important family
I imagined them as just not liking people

I think they used the same basis: the Greek root meaning hidden.
They share a name.

Oxygen looks like two angels hold hands
There has to be a whole movie based on these characters
