Fun fact about Chernovs death scene in the campaign, there was actually originally more to his death than him simply dying because of his flame injuries, originally after getting burned you could’ve originally had a choice to either put him out of his misery or Reznov would’ve killed him himself to again end his misery. This was all restored by a waw modder a while ago :0

Fun fact about the monologue at 6:10. In the mission where Reznov tells you to shoot the captured Germans at the bottom of a stairwell, the monologue will change depending on if you kill them, spare them, or kill 1 and not both.
Its not just about them in the stairwell that changes the monologue, there are another two events in the campaign that count towards what monologue you get
its so insane that theres not many youtubers/content creators out there that are this passionate about cod, especially and specifically the hidden secrets of the developers. you sir, are one of my favorites to watch for this sort of content, i love it
I just have to say, I really appreciate this channel. I’m a little sad that it seems the classic zombies community is dying a slow death, and it’s these little glimmers of life that keep me positive. Wish everyone was as invested still, as finding people who want to still explore is near impossible these days, and can lead to it feeling like a lonely community sometimes.
I had no idea that generator in Ascension was actually teleported to that roof. I always assumed it was teleported to somewhere else that we never saw. Pretty neat.
Gonna be a massive nerd here but: the Japanese Officer we see at the start of WAW was NOT reused for Takeo in that game. WAW Takeo instead reuses the generic Japanese Officer model (the clean-shaved ones you can encounter during gameplay). Black Ops 1 is where they went back and reused the moustached Officer’s design for Takeo instead. The other characters also got slight touch-ups to their models in BO1 but Takeo was the most prominent due to him suddenly looking way older. BO3 onward kept that design. If you don’t believe me then go back to the Music Videos for Shi No Numa and Der Riese, then compare Takeo’s model in the Kino der Toten trailer.
BO1 Nacht has one other difference that i remember finding as a kid. the one wall that zombies can break through after round 5 is rebuilt with planks in BO1, but in WaW its rebuilt with the same rocks the zombies broke off.
Finally, an out of bounds video where someone gives real opinions and lore theories about it all. I was hype listening to the pylon bank theory you had, never noticed that antenna nor did i consider the shelter being connected to the bank and power door. Great vid
I’m somewhat new to this channel, and i just want to say your videos are genuinely interesting and entertaining to watch, especially the “Learning Lore” series which really got me back into COD. 5:45 I remember people where saying that Chernov was actually Nikolai brother and how they looked similar which is a bit true. after all those theory's they did made a brother for Nikolai. he was mention in the Kronorium but it's not Chernov.
I honestly do believe that's how the story was posted to go if the ultimis crew didn't mess with 115. instead of used character assets, i think it is a way to show us what would have happened to these characters if Cod zombies weren't created. And ends kinda how they ended the cycle... by dying in some way.
To add to your point on the Casimir Mechanism, I grew up doing all the easter eggs and it took me forever to realize that was the Mechanism and it wasn't just stored in a wrecked rocket piece. 20:04 BAR + Bipod was in multiple places in Verrukt, though I think its the last time there's double weapons until MotD Uzi, so not totally wrong
Yep, you’re right I forgot about the BAR. Apparently in the BO1 Verrukt they took out the Springfield and replaced it with a second Kar98 as well so I was off by a bit 😬
As much as a zombies map in the reichstag would have been cool there were plenty of theaters the germans converted to serve their war effort. The tranzit under the map skybox was for the original map that was planned. Tranzit was going to have a day/night cycle, no fog, no denizens, nothing like we have now.
12 versions of nacht in total that im aware of WaW - airfield, campaign, nacht Bo1 - nacht Bo2 - Tranzit Bo3 - Revelations, Nacht Bocw - Die machine, Forsaken Mw2019/Warzone - airfield remake on pacific map Cod online - Nacht Waw zombies mobile - Nacht 13 if you count the pre alpha build of cod mobile, which included a version of nacht. There could potentially be more, I'm surprised there isnt one in black out or vanguard. Also could be a version in black ops: declassified
There's also an actual bunker, that could be the original inspiration of the map, it could also just be something 3arc retconned into the story later due to the similarities

hey for ur very first bit about nacht you also forgot to mention that it is also in revelations that is the main building to teleport to and get to pack a punch
Outside of Kino, you can see a tower from the Berlin Wall (more well known for having a radio to shoot on top of it) I didn't notice it until playing the multiplayer dlc map with the berlin wall that has the gun towers along the no-man's land between the 2 sides
I dunno why but always had a vivid memory of the power turbine door was a tunnel that lead to the underground road where u pick up the M16 that's why one of the walls has the road stop signs infront of that opening

Hi great video some mistakes. 1. You forgot the MP map for Nach. 2. Zombies map origins has 2STG 44s and I think mob may have two Uzi spawns. Just food for thought.
Btw the reason why zombies was even made was because they wanted to make enemies that caught on fire to run towards you with a knife or bare hands and it gave a dev a thought and he shared it with 2 other that's why it's reused from that mission where it had the Japanese flag on it I'm assuming that must be the mission that gave them that idea
21:58 Could it be the invisible plane for the Origins Easter Egg? The one who holds the maxis drone and only visible in zombie blood. maybe due to some coding shenanigans plane must be visible, and it dissapears from the void during the step or when zombie blood is in effect.
Takeo, Dempsy, Richtophen, and Nikolai arent even in Nacht or Verruckt on WaW. So the models werent chosen because they were simply part of an experiment. they were used because the devs simply wanted to use them.
