Dr Anderson has been my son's neurosurgeon for 24yrs. He is the most kind, compassionate, caring surgeon I have ever met. He has never dismissed any of my concerns with my son. I am not an overactive mom about my son, but whenever I have brought him to see Dr. Anderson, saying my son didn't seem like his usual, Dr. Anderson never dismissed it. The reason I am not overactive is because Dr. Anderson teaches his patients and or their parents/caregivers about their children, spouse, sibling's condition, whatever it may, so you are an informed person and you become the expert too. When you have a shunted child, you have to ALWAYS consider the shunt whenever something seems off. You don't have the option to ignore that. It has to be your first concern to rule that out.

Dr. Anderson saved my life! And its true what Loyola's says...they treat the human spirit! I'll never forget what he said to me after by brain surgery follow up. I told him I was getting my sense of humor back. He said that is sense of wisdom :) That made me so happy and lifted my spirits up! Congratulations Dr. Anderson!

Dr. Anderson is THE MAN. He helped me out so much and saved my life. He asked me to speak at Tumor Board. I had gone to another hospital nearby and they told me I didn't need a CT scan, I just have depression. Well not only did I need a scan, I had 3 surgeries and 6 weeks of radiation. God bless all the doctors at Loyola and especially God bless Dr. Anderson - A.H patient '95,'96 twice
