  • And when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way. And behold, they cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?” Now a herd of many pigs was feeding at some distance from them.
    Matthew 8:28-30
The story of Yeshua and the demon possessed men in the country of the Gadarenes contains several very odd elements.
-Was this in the country of the Gadarenes or the Gergesenes?
-Mark and Luke say there was one demoniac. Why does Matthew say there were two?
-When are the demons expecting to be tormented?
-Why do the demons want to go into the pigs?
-Why do the pigs run into the water?
-Why do the Gadarenes beg Yeshua to leave their country?
In this video, I'll do my best to answer these questions with the limited information available to us.

I think the pigs are those who reject Yeshua and are banished "to outer darkness" with the rest of the world. Only death waits for them.
