    Ayam masak merah literally translated to ‘Chicken cooked red’ is a flavourful and delicious traditional Malaysian home-cooked dish. Fried chicken marinated in turmeric powder are simmered in a spicy chilli gravy with spices, palm sugar and tomatoes. This dish which is aromatic, spicy, sweet and sour altogether is super appetizing and tasty! Go on and try it!

    材料Ingredients
    1. 半只鸡(切块)half chicken (cut to pieces)
    2. 半到1汤匙黄姜粉 half to 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
    3. 2块姜片,2粒大葱,6-7粒小葱头,6-7粒蒜瓣 (搅拌)2 ginger slices, 2 big onions, 6-7 shallots, 6-7 garlic cloves (blend)
    4. 2根香茅2 stalks of lemongrass
    5. 桂皮和八角(各一个,可省略) Cinnamon and star anise (one each, optional)
    6. 班兰叶Pandan leaves
    7. 1粒番茄(切片) One tomato (sliced)
    8. 4汤匙自制辣椒酱4tbsp of chilli boh
    9. 50g椰糖 Palm sugar
    10. 2汤匙辣椒酱 2 tbsp Chilli sauce
    11. 2汤匙番茄酱 2 tbsp Tomato sauce

    Malays simply love it. Garnish with dried raisins. Lagi sedap.
