Im crying 😢 As cosmetologist we are supposed to promote healthy hair growth. They failed you & I’m so sorry ❤️ our hair is a gift! Every texture...every color! The scars left in your hair shouldn’t have even occurred. If I do a bad job I get really depressed & work on that area before attempting again. I once messed up my grandmas hair & cried to my husband for days. The fact that she didn’t take responsibility is sad. I have a rule if the stylist doesn’t have healthy hair she can’t touch mines!!! I pray your hair grows back healthier and more beautiful than ever. God bless sis😘👑

Hi Dear Heart...You need to go to the dermatologist ASAP if you have not gone already. There's an infection under your scalp, and someone very close to me had the same thing happened when she had a tight weave. A bald spot that was very painful, and smushy developed. The dermatologist said "With very course hair that's braided tight, the hair follicles can poke back into the scalp, allowing bacteria on the surface of the skin to get under your scalp. This developed puss under the scalp, which causes the scalp to be not firm." She had to take antibiotics for 1 month, and we got Tea Tree Oil from the Coop. Tea Tree is great for cleansing/antiseptic, and add to your favorite oil to promote hair growth. Her hair do grow back completely in the affected area, but not until she had seen the dermatologist. I am sorry that you had to experience this, but experience is the greatest teacher.
    GOD BLESS YOU!

Hair is just hair, at the end of the day. Yeah, it's pretty and fun to work with, but in the end, it's nothing but a bunch of follicles and strands that grow out of our heads, and it doesn't have personality or beauty other than superficially. You, darling, are so much more than a bunch of follicles and strands. Your beauty is so much more than superficial, and I applaud you for being so brave to share your experience. You are gorgeous; never, NEVER forget that.

Amen sis. I had Senegalese twists and some fell out and my daughter’s father said the root of the hair was also taken out. We took down my hair and I had no hair in the back of my head. My scalp was as white as my palm. My hair stylist told me to go to the dermatologist. I found out I had alopecia arreata which is an auto immune disorder. I also had old chemical scars that weakened the follicles and was given 3 months of medical treatment to stimulate hair growth. I have had excema but did not know it was on my scalp as well and I can’t use a lot of hair products. During those three months which the doc said was a 50/50 shot my stylist said no wigs because the scalp needed to breathe. I cried as if I lost a family member. Following their instructions my hair grew back this was in 2009 I locked my hair and also went vegan my hair is mid back...all my hair grew back. I learned a valuable lesson!

Also our elected officials in washington does not have the right to vote either. So technically is a Colony. We are considered a country per U.N and with the unincorporated status makes us a country. 1)Yellow peppers
Yellow bell peppers have nearly five and a half times more vitamin C than oranges (341 milligrams, as opposed to 63). This is very good news for your locks-vitamin C is an antioxidant that strengthens the hair shaft and hair follicles, as well as prevents breakage
    2)Sunflower seeds
Just a few little seeds can supply you with an abundance of vitamin E, which will enhance blood flow to the scalp and promote faster hair growth.
    3)Avocados
Due to their high concentration of essential fatty acids naturally found in skin cells (which help to keep your skin smooth and supple), avocados are an age-old beauty secret. When topically applied to the hair and scalp, they have the added ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Mix a little avocado with sour cream (which contains lactic acid to help exfoliate dead skin and clean up buildup on the scalp) and apply to your hair and scalp for about ten minutes
    4)Sweet potatoes
Sweet potatoes are loaded with beta carotene, the precursor for vitamin A that not only promotes a healthy scalp but effectively promotes hair growth, too. Choose foods loaded with beta carotene over supplementing with high doses
    5)Spinach
Spinach and other dark leafy greens, like Swiss chard and broccoli, contain vitamin A and C, which help your body produce the oils necessary to keep your hair growing healthy and strong. Results may take six months to a year to take their full effect.
    6) Almonds
These nuts will make your hair grow faster and thicker due to their high biotin content. One cup contains nearly one-third of your daily requirement. You should be able to see the results in a month or two of adding them to your diet.
C&D Journey I hope this helps! I think you are so brave and gorgeous. God bless u! 😙😚💋

As someone who is not of African origin, may I suggest that the less you try to change your natural hair, the more people will accept that it is part of the whole package of the person? There is a channel on youtube called sunkiss alba where she goes over lots of natural hair care tips for afro and curly hair. You might want to check that. I wish you all the very best. Be well.

Massage your scalp with Peppermint oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, olive oil, coconut oil. Mix all of those oil together and put in a jar, so you can have it on hand. And as crazy as this sound USE VICKS. 🙄 (What Vicks!?) yes Vicks, it's been proven to heal and bring back your hair follicles. It worked for people with alopecia. And even though I don't have alopecia I used it for my hair and it grows my hair. So I'm pretty it will do the same for you. When applying any of these things to your hair massage your scalp, that is important! And when applying any of these things make it sit for 45-60 mins with shower cap than co-wash your hair with conditioner. No shampoo! Avoid any shampoo with sulfate that drys your scalp and damage hair growth. Wash your hair with non sulfate shampoo once a month. Because what some people fail to realize is natural hair dirt grows your hair, take for example people with dreads. They wash their hair with shampoo once a month but have long hair but cowash it frequently because the natural dirt grows their hair. (It's proven to be true) but cowash is something you can do weekly or bi-weekly because it doesn't doesn't damage your natural hair oil/Moisture like shampoo with sulfate does. One last thing I pray before I applying any of these things to my hair because prayer is the most important ingredient, and prayer works. Have a Blessed Day beautiful! God Bless You! #Gorgeous

The same thing happened to me that happened to you. I got a hood sew in done. She braided my hair so tight that I couldn’t even feel that she also seemed to have put the sewing needle thru my scalp. I had crazy scabs in my head and lost patches. That middle piece just like yours was the worst part. And I had to go to the docs as my skin where the scabs were got infected. I literally had to let the scalp heal and take oral and topical antibiotics... it took about 3-4 weeks for the skin to heal... I tried for two years to let it grow out and it was terrible. So I cut it all off and went natural. Now that part is just as long as the rest of my head but the scalp is still scarred a bit in the middle... so sad but glad you bounced back from it and I also never went back to a person that wasn’t in a salon and braiding my hair helped it grow back well...

Keep us updated on your progress, and see a professional for your scalp condition if possible. You are a beautiful young lady with confidence. When your hair grows back, keep it 100% natural to prevent future scalp conditions.
Massaging your scalp with Peppermint oil will stimulate your hair follicles, and cleanse bacteria. Beware, pure 100% peppermint oil is very strong and you can feel it. If your scalp is still irritated, you may want to wait until it's no longer sensitive. I use peppermint oil from time to time, even though my scalp is fine, the cooling effects can be very strong and overwhelming, especially for first time users. I pray your hair grows back more beautiful, thick and healthy than ever before..
Thanks for sharing your experience with us, that took courage.. Be blessed!

MA!!!! Yo' FFAAAAAAACE!!!!! I used braids, weave, and crochet sew-ins...thinking my hair was going to grow...WRONG! I found that the smell of synthetic hair made my nerves bad..and the itching was out of control. I had a bald spot from my scratching that was a mess.In 2015, I cut it all off and rocked a 1974 GRACE JONES until a month ago. I don't go on the hair care isle anymore; I put only things that I can pronounce on my hair...aloe, coconut oil, Jamaican black seed, and natural oils...and most importantly time and patience. People leave sew ins up until their new growth is growing on top of their tracks. I cant do it. You are NOT supposed to leave any hair style up forever! I know people who wear sew ins for 3-4 momths at a time.

I had to learn the hard way, as well years ago. You can try using 2 eggs once a month, and leave it on for at least a half hour. It's a very messy process, but it's worth it. Gelantin and onion is good for hair growth. Rosemary, coconut, argan, lavender, and peppermint oils are good for promoting hair growth. Green veggies such as water cres, spinach, and kale, and fruits can help. Drink lots of water. Hair growth starts from the inside out. That's what you are beautiful inside and out. I hope these things help. Be Blessed😇

But I watched this and really felt for her because she understands and didn't wallow in pity. It could've been preventend but this is some serious scarring. So glad she is beautiful on the inside so she can see she's more than hair. But I'd still suggest going to a doctor to see if she's prone to infections (i am. Not only be careful who you have do your hair but SPEAK TF UP if they are braiding too tight. You should never be afraid to let someone that YOU ARE PAYING know if they're being heavy handed. If they cant take the constructive criticism, then take your money elsewhere. It's not worth the money or hair you could potentially lose. I'd rather have one bad hair day than the rest of my lifetime with possibly irreparable damage to my scalp.

Please go to dermatologist. Your hair may be growing under your skin. I had a friend that had that happen!

Please see a dermatologist immediately!!!! You have scalp damage and it looks like ingrown hairs have caused a possible staph infection. This is serious. Go to the doctor.

That happens when the hair is braided too tightly. The dermatologist will pluck those ingrown hair for her but that's from no infection.

You're so pretty. We are more than just our hair but everyone always wants better hair than we were blessed with. Please don't wear a wig. It will suffocate your scalp. Use natural products and massage in essential oils and do absolutely nothing else. Don't brush it, don't comb it and post again in 6 months.

'Peoppe never want to admit what they did wrong'? Did you admit that you left in your sew-ins even though you felt it was too tight and started to bleed?....No? I feel nothing right now....
