Bottom line conveniences lead to poor health. Multiple generations have taken the convenient route, by a million different metrics, and sold their health for it. Each individual needs to become more self-sufficient if they want change big daddy government is not going to save you. Become a doer, we have too many takers in this society. Less than 10 percent of Americans even have a garden let alone access to water that doesn't come from some giant government piping system. Again all conveniences and you will suffer the consequences for that. We live in a grand illusion and nature is beginning to cull the herd. Be the change you want to see don't expect someone else to do it for you. If you want clean food go out and grow some, find a local farmer that practices food production the way you want it done. At the very least get out of the cities or suffer the consequences.
I live in Canada. The Indigenous populations have been living the self-sufficient lifestyle for thousands of years but have been demonized for it over the past centuries. Today, most reserves and Indigenous lands have had their natural resources re-routed by governments to serve big cities. The nutrients have been leeched out of the soil by large scale agriculture so the food has lost a lot of nutritional value. Residential school systems in the past century tried to brainwash Indigenous populations into thinking their self-sufficient lifestyles and co-operation with nature was wrong. Many populations in this world have been trying to be self-sufficient but when those who profit from greed and capitalism get scared, they do anything to knock down these populations, calling them uncivilized and finding a way to take away their basic natural resources. This is a nuanced topic but the irony of governments, big business and those with perceived power constantly intervening on the lifestyles of those who try to be self-sufficient has been evident throughout history
@@coolbreeze5683 Agreed 100%. Only after destroying indiginous populations we realize how advanced they really were. In farming practices spiritual and medicinal. This society has a lot to complain about however where I'm from I see a lot of complaining but no action. My farm produces what me and my family eat and I have been scaling but it takes time. Ide prefer more people to just replicate what I'm doing than me producing more, but I see more and more land just going to scrub brush sitting vacant. Agriculture is hard work always has been always will be problem being from what I see is alot of conversation but no action.
America is all about profit over people! I have friends that live in Europe and when they come to America, the first thing they notice is the obesity rate, its alarming... Its cheap to make a calorie and fast food places on most corners. CONVENIENCE EQUALS DEATH--my professor said at DUKE University. Where I live--not many fast food places. The big 32 OZ pop--is terrible. Starbucks, coffee drinks--all sugar.. READ THE LABELS..
