I was diagnosed with high cortisol this year when going to a naturopath for the first time . I love that this message said to not be a victim and to get into action . So true !
I never dealt with high cortisol until perimenopause hit me this year. I’m glad you talk about this because I’m wondering if it would balance after perimenopause issue 😢 but sounds like we have to work even more to balance that and lower it.
@@coraldell3091 Yes but the brain is scoping the environment and perceiving danger even when there is none which kicks in the fight or flight rather than rest and digest - so your cortisol levels will increase and your digestive system will shut down, breathing deeply shut down and you breath shallow because you are in fight or flight. So the key is to focus on teaching the brain that you are safe, and your body is healthy - there is nothing physically wrong with you and also tell the brain you are safe - once the brain learns it is safe, it will be in rest and digest and cortisol levels will be normal during rest and digest. - check out youtube channel "Pain Free You" by Dan Buglio. And also read the books by Dr. John Sarno. Your brain is what needs to be addressed. The cause is the brain in fight or flight - not in cortisol
Cortisol is high due to modern lifestyle stresses so we have to calm down down nervous system by maybe taking ashwaganda or another natural thing that will bring down stress . Meditation, mindfulness, yoga can help . Counselling, loving , positive environment can hwlp

Cortisel is an after effect -;The cause is the brain perveiving danger - Tension Mytosytos Syndrome - Dr. John Sarno.
Doesn't cortisol get released, when a person has a trigger from thoughts of a traumatic event , or a real event that could harm us ?
