As an American, we're often deprived of legendary radio and it's disheartening. Having just read a write up in the guardian about this show, I figured that I should come have a listen and see what all the fuss is about? Really, congratulations on a half century run (that sounds more regal & young than listing 50 years)!
Please keep reissuing the historic radio milestones. I first caught the programmes in the early 80’s when I became hooked on Radio 4 generally. I really liked the Late Arrivals, and the improvised Limerick rounds, but they seem to have disappeared in recent years unfortunately. Sound Charades continues to be cleverly improvised. Thank you. May I say that the delightful scorekeeper is still in stunning form, and has seamlessly adjusted to the transfer over to the iPoints scoring system without fault.
Thanks for uploading this. Very weird how there's a FEW examples of things that now feel really off (like it being 'a panel game' not 'the antidote') yet 9/10 of it feels there from the start. Humph sounds no different to how he would in an episode thirty years later...
First time that I have heard this, I started listening to the programme in 1974. It is difficult to image what other nationalities would make of the humour that carried on from the Goon show and was followed by Monty Python. Perhaps summed up by naming a ship "Boaty MacBoat Face"!
Infinitely better, once the legendary gags started to become regular, like Mrs Trellis, Samantha and Sven, Colin Sell's terrible career choices and grand master of the game, Lionel... Shame we'll never hear Hamish and Dougal again.
RIP Jo Kendall, who passed earlier this year. A programme which started off brilliantly and has kept it up even since.
LoL
Ever
How splendid that One tune to the tune of another was the first game and still going strong.
I missed the original broadcast of this because I was still in my mummy's tummy. So thanks for uploading 🙂
I've been listening to I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue for about 20 years now. I'm too young to remember the first ever show, but I'm loving this!
Woww!! I never expected to hear this again! Thank you SO MUCH!!
They really don’t make them like this anymore absolute CLASSIC well done all ❤️👏👍💥

Happy 50th to the whole ISIHAC team. Keep up this silliness.
Fantastic - the show got off to a very good start. Congratulations on 50 years!

It was first referred to as 'the antidote to panel games' the following year.
You can hear the ISIRTA influences.
This is British comedy history!

The Past Is A Different Country....
Well, it got better.
Thanks to Barry Cryer.

I wonder what listeners in North Wales thought of that...
