Pencil grip here. I own both hooks in different sizes. I love both, especially Etimo Rose. I didn't notice changing the way i work with them. I never bought a set, I chose the sizes I use the most.
I really enjoy your videos, I find your voice calming and relaxing ❤

I find it fascinating that people use different grips, it's funny how we all have our own preferences.
I would love to try an Etimo Rose as I hear great things about them. Christmas is coming up, maybe I should start leaving some subtle hints now.
I normally just buy the size of hooks I use most as well, however I just got given a full set of Clovers for my birthday, I'm a lucky girl!😃
Thank you so much for watching my videos, I really appreciate you saying that as I get very nervous on camera.
I'm currently working on more videos, I hope I can keep the nerves under control☺️

Tulip is an excellent brand. I do beadwork and bought their needles when they first came out. They outlast others by miles or km. I have their small crochet hook set I use to bead crochet. No problems; they work great. Wanting now their larger hooks. I am just now getting back into crocheting with yarn. Using Clovers now because of less cost but definitely wanting to try the Tulips because of my experience with their smaller crochet set and beading needles.

Oh, that's really great to hear. Thanks for sharing! 🤗 I am yet to work with beads in my crochet, so hopefully, I'll make something soon to give it a try. Tulip have been around for a long time, so fantastic to hear that they are still so reliable 😃

Love my Tulips but they are a little short. I also love my CA and my Dots hooks. I switch off when my hands get tired and it helps. ❤ ty for your review.

@lindaarchinal9008 Oh, switching between them is a great strategy for your hands! What a great idea! I'll need to try that next time my hands get sore. Thank you for the feedback. It was much appreciated 🫶☺️

The size section is not a sticker. More importantly, I can read the size, the embossed size on the Clovers I find difficult to see clearly. I’ve had my set for a number of years and they are still lovely. These are my favourite hooks to use! 😸

      @MelsYarniverse  24 дня назад

Oh, I'm glad to hear it's not a sticker - it totally looks like one! I was really worried it would start to peel off, and then I wouldn't be able to tell what size hook it was. I'm glad to know I'll be able to work with it for a long time without it peeling off. Does the printing fade at all?
They are lovely hooks to work with. Hopefully, I'll still have them in years to come 😊
And yay! I'm so happy you found the secret emoji!! 🐱

I agree Tulip is the only hook set I use, I've also had mine a few yrs and they look great. I have some clover hooks but don't use them.

The red ones crochet a lot nicer than the black and gold ones

Hiya 👋 I have heard that the red and also the rose hooks are a better quality than the Etimos. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to try one one day ☺️

Hope he got the hint. LOL I'm from Canada and I also started with the AERO hooks but my favorite is the clover. I do pick up any AERO hooks at thrift stores though.

I hope he did, too. I know I was pretty subtle with my hints this year 😂 Yeah, it's going to have to be a pretty impressive hook to knock the Clover off that top spot, isn't it?

Thanks for a great review! I've been crocheting for about 10 months using Amazon ergonomic hooks but recently decided to try the Clover Amour hooks and have fallen in love with how smooth they are so I'm upgrading my most-used sized hooks. I've been wondering about the Tulip hooks as well so I was really interested in your review. Thanks for the detail on the differences - I think I would like the weight difference (I've got a few Susan Bates ergonomic hooks which are also very light which is nice for marathon sessions)- but now I don't feel like I need to rush out and buy Tulips because of the grip. I can find the Clovers individually on sale for about half of the Tulips so that's a bonus. Great review- thanks!

Yeah, absolutely agree, sticking with the Clovers 🍀 is the way to go, especially if you've already tried a clover and enjoy using it. I feel like the tulips are a great hook, and probably suit a lot of people, based on how they hold their hooks, but for me, the clovers' design just works beautifully and is super comfortable, so the tulip wouldn't really be an upgrade, especially considering the price difference. Thank you so much for your lovely comment 😊 Happy crocheting!

Clover is still the best! In the U.S. a set is about $35 - $40. A forever set!

@@MelsYarniverse I don't use them. Was thinking about trying a clover hook first. Never ised anything except Susan Bates. Lol

Susan Bates also have a great reputation ☺️ I would love to try one, but I seem to crochet better with a tapered hook, rather than an in-line hook, and I think Susan Bates hooks are in-line, so not sure how I would go with them
