Over 500 people came together for the making of the song’s music video! It is commissioned by SG Enable, and written and composed by Dr Darius Lim, the Artistic Director of Voices of Singapore (VOS). ‘Our Story', is not only our rallying call to build an inclusive Singapore beyond the realities of today, but a celebration of inclusive efforts by SG Enable and our partners over the past decade.

First time hearing this song at the NDP 2024 performance by Soka Gakkai Singapore, asked around for the title and eventually found my way here. Hearing it at the NDP and over here on youtube, i was equally moved on both occasions! The composer did a great job. The only travesty is that this song isn't available on Spotify!!!
The main choir at NDP 2024 is from Voices of Singapore which is led by the composer of the song. Dr Darius Lim.

This song really is a microsm of what a person with disability aspires Singapore to become an truly inclusive society. We still have some way to go but I am glad we are making progress. I know because I am a person with disabilities.
By the way this song is way better than the official ndp song this year.

Beautiful lyrics. I hope everyone is able to embrace people who are different and/or have disabilities. I wish everyone would have a kinder heart to not judge with only what you see. My mom is visually handicapped suffering from Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) - very rare eye disease with no cure. Her appearance looks normal without any aesthetic difference to her eyes, but people are quick to judge and condemn her when she accidentally bumps into them or when she walks with her guiding stick, people would comment that "she is faking it", even with her visually-handicapped badge hanging around her neck. It's really heart-breaking and she becomes afraid to let people know about her condition, shunning away from crowds and activities, eventhough she is an adventurous spirit.
