Godfrey Garner served with the Navy in the Mekong Delta, South Vietnam, 1967-68. Many missions involved Navy SEALs. He served in Afghanistan with a National Guard special forces unit, 2003-04, 2005-06, and later as a civilian contractor doing intelligence and counter-intelligence work. He shares memory from that service.
