I think a lot of shops are giving us less food and saying "serves 2" when it clearly doesn't. The price never goes down either..as we all know. If i had to share that with my missus I'd probably end up eating her as well 😆
Serves 2 is really a subliminal message saying it's enough for 1. But with the next great food famine (coming very soon) it'll have to be served between 2.

The Aldi I go to never seems to have any of this stuff in it. It's very limited on ready meals/quick meals. It's a shame because I like to have something like this once a week.
Another great review, thanks. Looks like you really enjoyed it, but personally, I could never justify paying that price for a ready meal, especially when pasta is cheap as chips.
Yes, that might serve two with garlic bread and a nice salad but at £5.49 I'll be making it myself. Looks like a simple repackage and price hike job to me.

To be fair, regarding the weight, I would say the nutritional density in this is more than your standard ready meal. I wouldn't grumble at 25g less per portion if the quality is there. Still almost £3 a portion, that's a lot.
Aldi really is whacking up the prices now. But this morning I heard on the wireless that Tesco and Sainsbury's have reduced the price of milk by 5p a pint. Let's hope this will encourage retailers across the board to reduce prices generally. Even one penny off can make a difference over several weeks. This gastro meal looks very nice, but the pack size is too big for me on my own. Tesco has a new product you may care to review: Mac 'n Cheese in a pouch. Microwavable and ready to eat. £1. There was also pasta and pesto in the same range.

Good afternoon Gaz, another totally kicking video. The food looks scrumptious, and the price is the going rate, I would give it a go as a treat one day.
This looks great and pappardelle is my favourite pasta as it's so wide and substantial. Goes great with any kind of sauce and if you get the good stuff has a lovely buttery taste. I often cook this type of meat sauce in the slow cooker, using Aldi whole braised steaks. Chopped onion, garlic, smoked bacon fried, then steak in the pan and big glug of red wine. Set fire to it and after the fire brigade have gone, into the slow cooker with tomato puree and a load of herbs. Four hours later loads of food and time to finish off the Shiraz. Alternatively, just get this from Aldi and make a RUclips video.
Come on matey, everybody knows you cannot flambé a meal using red wine. It doesn't have a high enough % of alcohol in it. You need spirits of at least 37.5% or even 40%. 🤔🥴🤔.
