Have you ever considered trying to legitimize this process? While I understand much of this falls under the category of entertainment I wonder what would happen if you worked with certain organizations to submit your findings. By this I mean organizations like the ACLU, DOJ, State oversite committees, commercial media or even certain pro-Constitution advocates. You can see what happens to a story when MSM picks it up. I would love to see this officer's response when you told him his behavior was being reported to any of these entities.
@Warren Winston those avenues are swamped with these cases, although this one is disgusting enough that it may get attention. You're correct that it should be tried, as everyone should see this. Unacceptable!
He has proven he does not deserve freedom they are scared of the public because of how they treat us after we are forced to work and pay for their violence against us
This should be firable. He shouldn't never be able to get a job as a cop again. But man like the people have a much higher expectation for police officers to know the law and be able to separate their personal motivations from enforcing the law. This is just incredibly disappointing.
And this preoccupation they have with demonising anyone filming them, if they were honest why would they care? It’s not a few rotten apples in the barrel, it’s a rotten barrel full of them.
They get upset when you record them because they dont control the footage and cant delete it or make it disappear. Always go live and send to the cloud and other storage locations. This ensures they cant delete it
100% he defaulted to the cops side regardless of how it would look or consequences to the victim which let’s face it could be life threatening. He exposed the tax payers to financial harm, put his reputation and the reputation of law enforcement in the gutter, shameful behaviour of a “supervisor” (in name only, he ain’t a leader).
@Carl Harris I disagree. She kept saying it's on video, it's on video, it's on video ( insinuating it's impossible to cover up). If she had integrity she would have said he's going to jail for assault. She was just trying to cover her own butt because she knew not only was it on camera but her body cam was running.
Any decent cop would've seen the video and immediately handcuffed the off duty cop and charged felony assault without calling their superiors first. All three of those cops are very dangerous and hypocrites. I hope the off duty cop got an additional charge for bribery.
@@jq8792 I think a benefit of the doubt argument could be made that "it's on video" means there isn't any he said/he said thing going on, it's easy to see after the fact that the off duty cop was the aggressor and that camera operator was in the middle of the street.
The cops that tried to get him off and didn't arrest him immediately on the scene, should all be fired. They would neved give preferential treatment to anyone else but a cop. These people are disgusting
The female cop was wanting to take him in and even said that what he did was wrong and looked really bad on him. So to not take him in would cause more problems then to hit him with a slap on the hands.
But the female didn't seem to have a problem with him attacking somebody, only with the fact that it was all recorded and was only concerned with herself getting bad rep if they didn't arrest him.
"It's all on camera, it's a problem." The implication... if it weren't on camera, they would happily cover it up, arrest the victim, and create a false report.
Happens more than you know. Once they get that badge they feel they’re above the law and they make the rules. All it takes is for them to do it to the wrong person.
The unfortunate reality is that without video evidence, whether you're right or wrong, you're gonna get fucked by the cops. I get they don't like everyone filming these days but this just shows why it is absolutely necessary if you want to keep your freedom.
The homeowner lost his job and was jailed, But at least the officer that drove away should be done for trying to cover it up. At Least the female cop (maybe or maybe not due to the video) did the right thing.
Yes but the problem is he's trying to lie on a camera. The female cop saw through the roots as soon as she saw the video. She knew that they had a problem. This is why cops hate cameras. The man's camera convicted that cop, and she knew that if they didn't do anything about it as soon as they went to court the judge will do something about it. She knew that the judge could take away his qualified immunity and also their qualified immunity if they justify his actions, and slap him with a felony assault charge. The female officer knew she had to make an arrest and she made the right one.

Not really you're supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, they problem is she wanted to let him off but the evidence tied their hands smh if he wasn't a cop they would've locked him up no discussion.
The public servant is whispering "it's a problem". The real problem is she didn't arrest the criminal after seeing evidence of an assault. Would she have done the same thing if it had been the other way around? She is no better than the criminal.
She didn't mute her mic once, called crazy cop crazy. I think she's had issues with the now excop before this. I honestly think she was a little sad she didn't get to cuff him.
She said everything to put it on the other officers , not the way a man would do it but she documented that scene well and made sure it was reported. At the end of the day going against your partner in open is dangerous
The victim agreed to shake hands and not press charges. But he did go to the station and show his superiors what went down and they took the appropriate actions. If the victim would have stuck with his request to press charges then I believe she would have sewn his shady ass up.

Cop in the car is just as corrupt as the attacking officer. Now they are trying to fabricate evidence to prosecute the cameraman. Absolutely disgusting.
standard procedure. even the cop with the bodycam was saying that the reason it's all so bad is because it's all on camera. If he hadn't recorded this, she would've gone along with whatever corrupt plan the rest of them came up with to cover up the officers crimes and charge the victim with some bogus shit instead. They probably would claim that he attacked the officer first, and charge him for that. Which would be an absolute atrocity, just to cover a corrupt pig's ass. And it's happened so so many times in the past.
If this goes to trial, the video man's lawyer should also have the DA file charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice because the lady cop and the cop in the patrol car did just that.
Imagine if this was NOT recorded by the citizen!!! The cop would have lied, got the guy arrested and who knows how much more it would have escalated!! Pathetic!
This is the most important fact of all here and the woman officer's words and attitude confirm it all. If the citizen had no camera they ABSOLUTELY would have covered for the cop, even if it meant that man would have been jailed, prosecuted, lost his job or home, cause suffering to that woman and kid....who knows, they don't give a f$%×.
It is sick. The male cop is being a real punk saying he doesn't blame him. Wtf? Kudos to the female cop here. Whats worse us this is just the beginning. They will most likely cover for him on down the line. The prosecutor might not file charges, or will plea deal it down to nothing. Then judge will most likely go easy.
This is why that the cops are known as the thin blue line. They will always protect each other . The woman cop was acting like she should, she was awesome.
@@johnshaddick6858 not that awesome, she probably just didn’t want to get crap for not doing the right thing. I doubt she would’ve had that same attitude if there was no evidence of the attack.
How scary is that? To know that we are literally at the mercy of people that would try to cover for each other until they absolutely couldnt because of the possibility of facing charges themselves. And that the only reason they couldnt? Video evidence. Crazy that there are cops with small-man syndrome walking aroung like this. Looking for trouble.
Sooooo. If the general public has to have evidence of a crime you don’t believe that law enforcement shouldn’t need evidence to be prosecuted?? If a cop goes to a general call and someone says I was attacked and there is no evidence then there will not be an arrest until there is evidence. Y’all pathetic
@@JEFFERYMORRIS56 First off, plenty of people have been arrested/detained with no evidence or just by word of mouth testimony. I would wager it happens every single day. Sure, I would assume that most of those people walk away free and clear. But your still talking unlawful detainment and hours if not days of being in police custody. Not to mention lawyer fees. You're assuming that all police will see and understand all evidence, rationally weigh evidence, have the capacity to rationally weigh evidence and make an educated and lawful decision based on that evidence with NO bias whatsoever. Yet in this video, we see that EVEN WITH VIDEO EVIDENCE, two out of the three officers on the scene were willing to walk away from addressing the infractions of the off duty officer. The officer in the car was COMPLETELY disregarding any evidence and repeatedly said he didn't believe it. The only rational thinker was the lady. And she only cared BECAUSE of the video! If not for her, this would've gone a completely different way for Jeremiah. Soooo no, I believe a police officer should be able to make rational, legal, fair and just decisions WITHOUT evidence and based on just testimony and his own intellect when on the scene. It's called critical thinking and if you don't have any, you should NOT have a badge. Last things we need are cops that don't know the law, can't critically think, lie, and make emotional decisions or try to cover for each other's failures. You're statement was sophomoric.
One thing you can never accuse the police of? Being smart. She seems to have a conscience but her concern seems to be that "it was all on video" hence if not they would have covered for him hence by definition there is no such thing as a "good cop" unfortunately.
Most cops would have muted their body cam. Probably wet behind the ears. Still, it was all on video. Thorougood must have been jonesing with time on the bench.
I love how it’s not a problem that the cop attacked someone but it’s a problem that he was recorded doing it. Odd how no one else seems to realize that. The cops would’ve had his back if it wasn’t on video.

Sociopathic behavior from start to finish. What the BWC reveals, is the female officer's desensitized demeanor toward officer misconduct, the fact that this type of misconduct is NORMALLY EASILY subverted,, and that she was DISAPPONTED that she would have to HONOR HER OATH. Absolutely disgusting.
Exactly, and the way he says "I want you to know how hard this is for me..." Smh you kidding? Imagine apologizing for something and saying that- like you need to know that I normally would just abuse my power and not apologize, so this is special! Wtf!! Unreal
They should all be fired, they all circled the wagons around their fellow 'blue gang' member trying to figure a way to save him from himself. I wonder if they checked security's cameras on nearby houses to see if any caught it from the beginning. The cops would make those disappear if so. It's pretty clear that even with the millions of phones recording them they will not change the training these folks get and that the cops are not smart enough to police themselves before it is to late. Just imagine what doesn't get out or reported in the government mouth piece's, main stream lie news.

The amount of times she has to reiterate that the incident was captured on video to other cops is mind boggling. Like she was saying "no guys, we can't lie about this..."
They'd have taken the cop's word otherwise, and the homeless guy would have gone to jail. "You know how hard it is for a cop to apologize and admit we're wrong." He's basically admitting that anytime he's not being filmed he's not going to admit if he's wrong

Not sure if that's what they meant. Another words they were informing that he was caught on tape and they saw the evidence. Doesn't mean they'd cover for him.

You are not being ‘set up’ , merely because your disgusting behavior is being filmed.
That cop should get at least 5 years in jail. There is not difference, none, between the lowest criminal filth in society and this cop. He should be dealt with appropriately.
Officer Beglay was the last to arrive, and deserves sanction for saying at 8:00 of the video that the assaulted deserved it because he routinely films the police. Police are public servants and can be filmed at any time during their shift, and for that matter, oftentimes wear a bodycam that is subject to FOI request. Anyone can be filmed in a public location, and any public servant can be filmed at any time during their service to the public. @th3R0b0t Take that up with your state attorney general. When an officer is sworn in, it doesn't state that it's only during work hours. Most states have laws that specifically state that ALL sworn officers in that state are considered on duty at all times, and have an obligation to intervene when they witness any felony crime being, or having been, commited. You're wrong - the cop is de-escalating the situation and sympathizing with the aggressor. Even the best detectives do this (and are trained to) for even the worst child abusers. You do not want to escalate the situation if you do not have to. Telling the suspect your hands are tied and are being "forced" to make an arrest is actually a very good tactic as it puts the perceived blame away from you avoiding further confrontation, bribing, or negotiating and instead encourages acceptance and willful compliance.
They most certainly did not want to arrest him. Not only the tone of her voice with the word that she said. We have to it's on camera. I know but I know what we're supposed to do but. The only reason why anyting became of this is because it was on if not it was just another Monday. They knew almost immediately that he was in the wrong. If they wanted to do the right things and they would have arrested him then and there. But instead they made every phone call and exhausted every avenue they could for his escape before they did what they decided they HAD to do what they HAD to do. And in the end they did nothing but if that has been a civilian mysteriously the state would have picked up the charges and he would have been arrested anyways.
