Thanks Samsudheen for all your efforts in putting a concise tutorial. Need some clarification regarding the Leverage ratio. I am contending between Debt to Asset Ratio or Liability to Asset Ratio [ Formula : Debt to Asset Ratio (Total Debt/Total Assets) vs Liability to Asset Ratio (Total Liability/Total Assets)].
I noticed this because I inverted the formula of Financial Leverage Ratio to Equity to Asset Ratio. Then I added Equity to Asset Ratio + Debt to Asset Ratio. I expected it to be 1 but it was not. On further analysis when I added Equity to Asset Ratio + Liability to Asset Ratio, it equated to 1.
So my question is: should we be using Debt to Asset Ratio OR Liability to Asset Ratio
