Most people don't know that walker held the world record in the 60 yard sprint for about 15 minutes, until carl lewis broke it in another heat at the same meet.
As a young man. When the conversation of college football started. For me the conversation started with Herschel and everyone else was in a distance 2nd
Love the music, the commentary, and the highlights. Great video. I was 10 years old when Herschel was a freshman and remember watching and listening to Larry Munson on the radio that magical season Herschel took us all the way. 13 years later I graduated from UGA. So many good memories.
A great player,a great man of God, and someone you could be happy that you’re children looked up to as a role model. He was never under investigation for anything illegal or wrong because he was what Heroes are supposed to be like. God bless Herschel Walker the Greatest College Football Player ever.
Mark Nicholson not saying that Bo didn't though haha. If I had to choose one or the other to be on my team, I'd flip a coin and be thrilled either way.
+Chris W I'm sorry but Reggie Bush averaged 17 yards a touch in college and was unstoppable in college. and Barry sanders was good. but I would take bush in college of liver ANY player
He was and still is unbelievable. One more year at Georgia would have been something an the NFL wouldn't have black balled him , he still holds records.
Coaches recently rated him as the greatest college back. When he played he did everything, and no one could stop him. Carried the team on his back to the national championship.
You know why he is the best college football running back to ever play the game of anger it was because when he was a kid he used to get bullied a lot and he took that anger and started running over people.
Hot damn that man is just athletically gifted it's not even fair. Sic em dawgs woof! A true bona fide rarity. Oh yeah that beat is ridiculous artist? Name?
+Brad Beasley He actually wasn't a natural athlete. He was an obese kid who had bad knees and his nose used to bleed when he would run. He didn't really have friends back when he was in like 6th and 7th grade, so what he did was he watched TV, and would do push ups and sit ups during all the commercials, and then he'd run sprints back and forth across his yard.
No kidding, my football coach said I had walkers ability today when I ran the ball at practice and I searched this video up, I couldn't believe my eyes, I couldn't believe that was me in the gridiron today, I'm in my middle school football team, the mustangs
Fun Fact: Hershel Walker was diagnosed with Dissociate Identity Disorder (Multiple Personality Disorder) sometime after he retired from football. It turned out he was originally obese and shy when he was young, and was bullied to terrible degrees as a result. The trauma of dealing with the relentless bullying led to him creating a “better him” that was an absolute beast at sports, and this eventually led to his dominance on the field. Some of his fellow teammates would remark that he acted like a completely different person on the field - a mad and completely focused being of pure athleticism and rage - yet was calm and happy when off of it. The only reason he was wasn’t diagnosed early on was because he had football to channel his anger and aggression from his other “personality,” and once he retired he lost that outlet; it led to problems with simple communication with other people, and that eventually led to his official diagnosis. From them on, he learned to cope with DID since it could come out at very inopportune times, and even wrote a book about it if I remember correctly.
I always looked up to herschel in my runs.. I have ptsd which lead to me creating another person when i run from cops.i also grew up in the south so it wasnt a flat surface and i beat um 4 times out of 5 and the way iam looking at it is thats the gov best tacklers.. I had my last run last yr before getting injured but i must say i know now where i get it from after looking back .
This man was totally awesome!! Just think if Herschel had returned his senior year at UGA!!! He would have records that would definitely been unbreakable and would have won another Heisman Trophy and UGA would have won another National title!!!
townbiznessG, I was at that game in Oxford, MS. After the score, the whole place was quiet for a few seconds while people tried to figure out if they really saw what they just saw, then cheering from the UGA section. As 34 came off the field, the Ole Miss student section stood up and applauded.
What I love is how he doesn't show boat or anything. He simply does his job (does it well too) and moves on to the next play. Thats what i hate about a lot of these players today. Like dude, you have 10 other guys helpin you out.
El oh el.. Sounded like he was super villian mad at the hero for saving the day... "Next time ,next time youll get it herschel" Shakes fists angrily in the air*
Them georgia boys.. I used to live in south and can still confirm u have to catch a rabbit barefooted to even be a rb.its like that for alabama atleast
I wish I had been alive to see him play in the silver britches. He runs like Superman. I'm sure if he was playing today, he'd still be great no matter how defenses have changed. Better than Knowshon Moreno, better than Todd Gurley, better than DeAnthomy Thomas, better than anybody.
Todd Gurley and Nick Chubb will be the best we've had in a long time (UGA atleast). I agree that Herschel was probably the best of all time RB wise. I can't think of anyone that's better
you should see Hershel Walker's documentary. He was a little fat boy in elementary school, getting jumped by "people of other color." He vowed to do 500 sit ups and pushups and squats per day. In jhs he muscled out.
Brett Hulett lol im not the only one making that comparison. Hershel walker said it himself. So take that L you were trying to get rid of and keep holding it
Herschell and Bo were the best big men running backs. They both had speed and power to wear down defenses. They were the best in my opinion in college. Herschell in my opinion was not as good as Bo in the NFL.
Brett Hulett he was in the usfl for a while where he dominated, then was very good in the NFL as not only a rb, but a fb and wr. That's why he only had 2 1000 yard seasons, but 11th in all purpose yards. He was great in pro football, borderline HOF and I bet if he hadn't been in the USFL, he'd be in.
Most people don't know that walker held the world record in the 60 yard sprint for about 15 minutes, until carl lewis broke it in another heat at the same meet.
Carl Lewis popped for doping
There will NEVER be another great in college football like Hershel. Thanks for the video.
Notice the way he just flips the ball to the ref and heads off the field? No showboating or gloating. That is a class act!
One of my heros ..he broke the 40 record back then only to he beat by Carl lewis..he was almost 225lbs
As a young man. When the conversation of college football started. For me the conversation started with Herschel and everyone else was in a distance 2nd

He just mentally broke down..
He had muktuple persobality disorderes.
I can relate
With Herschel, the pitch sweep became poetry.
This man was a phenom. Nuff said.
Is*
What other rb ran people over like that? Most rbs try to run around you. Herschel was so strong he just ran through people. Once in a lifetime player.
I don't think the world could ever create another human plow like old Herschel
The best back in the history of collage football period Bo Jackson number 2
Granville friel , sorry Bo was better, more athletic and could cut where Hershel was more of a straight line running back.
Mark Nicholson Walker didn't have to cut. He just ran through the people in his way.
Mark Nicholson not saying that Bo didn't though haha. If I had to choose one or the other to be on my team, I'd flip a coin and be thrilled either way.
+Chris W I'm sorry but Reggie Bush averaged 17 yards a touch in college and was unstoppable in college. and Barry sanders was good. but I would take bush in college of liver ANY player
joshblue32 .....cool. Want a fuckin' sticker? That literally has nothing to do with my comment.
If Herschel Walker would have played his senior year in college... he would have set a rushing record that would have NEVER been touched.
He only played three years to make it fair 😆
The man, the myth, the legend. herschel walker
He was and still is unbelievable. One more year at Georgia would have been something an the NFL wouldn't have black balled him , he still holds records.
The greatest of all time!
Greatest college running back every and I saw it in person! !!!
I watched Herschel all through his college career. Hands down the best RB ever. He will be the best choice for the senate.
No matter how many times I watch this...I never tire of watching Hershel "TRUCK" the tenn. player at the end...
He was awesome. Loved watching him between the hedges.
He was the player that made me wanna play running back at 11 years old.
Greatest college player of all-time. Period. No one else comes close.
See him play then hear his story life changing

Coaches recently rated him as the greatest college back. When he played he did everything, and no one could stop him. Carried the team on his back to the national championship.
Saidakine true
Greatest runningback to ever play the game
You know why he is the best college football running back to ever play the game of anger it was because when he was a kid he used to get bullied a lot and he took that anger and started running over people.

I AM SO GLAD I GOT TO PLAY! HE MADE IT LOOK SO EASY~UP & OVER! SUPER NICE MAN & A DGD!!
That first season. Running over Bill Bates to the Lyndsey Scott play.
Greatest college player ever!
Just don’t forget to
🎶Give Herschel Walker the ball🎵
LOL 0:25 "He had to become a totally different person to deal with the pain of his dislocated shoulder"
That he did sir, That he did
The definition of beast mode.
Super human.
it looked even better in person
What I love is how he doesn't show boat or anything. He simply does his job (does it well too) and moves on to the next play. Thats what i hate about a lot of these players today. Like dude, you have 10 other guys helpin you out.

"Next time ,next time youll get it herschel"
Shakes fists angrily in the air*
Best 2 highlight reels in college: Herschel and tops is Johnny Football - another Heisman winner.
this is dope
Walker was the best colkege back ever. Number 2 was Tony Dorsett when it came to college running backs.
Them georgia boys..
I used to live in south and can still confirm u have to catch a rabbit barefooted to even be a rb.its like that for alabama atleast

The song is Hope by Ace Hood

MegaMinecraftFantasy Take a look at Barry Sanders college days.
you should see Hershel Walker's documentary. He was a little fat boy in elementary school, getting jumped by "people of other color." He vowed to do 500 sit ups and pushups and squats per day. In jhs he muscled out.
Seen em all play....Gurley, Chubb, and Walker....and hands down, Walker is in a league of his own.
Boondock Saint I am not sure what your point is? Sanders 6.8 yards a carry.
Walker 5.3 yards a carry.
@john p which year?
Hershel is one of my dads friends in Tifton georgia
The Mack truck of running backs with speed!
there is no doubt in my mind had he stayed in colledge the record book would be called " the Book of Hershel "
I don't think I ever saw Walker come out on the losing end of a collision. He always seemed to fall forward.
What is the name of the piano tune accompanying the "Herchel Walker-College Great HD" video?
Whats' the music on this? Nice upload bro....respect!
Who is watching this during cornavirus
His son played on my baseball team when i was younger
+Masen Anderson He's actually my father
Holy crap
What a monster
I've never seen anybody else possess talent like this
Adan Delgado his name is Leonard Fournette
Peyton Kennedy Massive L
Brett Hulett lol im not the only one making that comparison. Hershel walker said it himself. So take that L you were trying to get rid of and keep holding it
Peyton Kennedy Anyone that compares Fournette to Walker is an idiot. Fournette is nowhere NEAR close to Herschel.
Brett Hulett so Hershel is an idiot? He said fournette reminds him of himself more than anyone. Can you read?
Anyone know where I can watch his documentary?
Sheesh what a monster
Why do player look so much bigger in the 80s?
+justin scott bigger pads
+Bob Tital yea that's it, ya think it effected their speed any?
+justin scott Indirectly. You're less flexible in bigger pads so you feel bulky in them. It's like comparing heavy cleats to light ones.
He did push ups and sit ups as a kid
+Royal xJeff thats wrong lol
I SAW THIS ON THE SEC NETWORK
My ancestors bred him (his family) right.
We deserve a cut of what he earns.
you running your mouth to much boy

DUPREE. Look him up. 'The best that never was'.
Music?
Speed power leaping. Judy train Todd Gurley while Keith is hurt.
Herschel is the best. If you disagree, you should keep it to yourself.
You misspelled Herschel
Herschell and Bo were the best big men running backs. They both had speed and power to wear down defenses. They were the best in my opinion in college. Herschell in my opinion was not as good as Bo in the NFL.
Neither of them did any good in the NFL, Herschel had 2 1,000 yard seasons, Bo had 0, although I know he would have if his career wasn't cut short.
Nope. Earl Campbell.
Brett Hulett Herschel finished his career 11th in all purpose yards in NFL history. He definitely "did good" in the NFL.
