Hey Ryan, huge fan of TXG and love seeing how your role there has developed! I'm about to fit these exact same shafts (but 95TS S) to some AP3s. The tapering process looks simple. My question is: what ferrules would you use when doing this? Can I fit the same collared .355 ferrules onto these shafts by heating the ferrules so they stretch? Or use a non-collared 0.370? Thanks for your reply!

Can the sanding be done without a belt sander? Would just sandpaper work? If so what grit do you recommend?

David Lopatka yes, use coarse grit sandpaper strips with a shoeshining motion. There’s a Golfworks video on installing graphite shafts that shows this.

      @@axnjxn91 circular sander?

@@finners4654 I guess that works as well. I'd be extra careful with graphite and rather do it by hand.

That looks are lot easier than reaming out the heads.

Can you do the same with parallel iron shaft to fit on .355 head?

Nelson Farias: you can sand down .370 graphite shafts to fit a .355 head. Not with steel shafts though!

Would this have an effect on the lie of the club if you ever not taper it evenly?

Question on a similar note: I just purchased the LA Golf (matrix) graphite putter shaft and want to install in my 2015 Scotty Newport 2. Shaft is .370 and the putter is .355. Would it be best to ream the putter hosel or tapper the shaft? OR both?

a different subject-but if you put a TT s300 xp 115 gram 6 iron shaft into a 7 iron- does that change it to a regular flex, or somewhere in between....or what exactly will it do to the performance of the club..

That’s called soft stepping a shaft...it will change the flex by 1/4 to 1/3 towards regular.
