+Lukaselin pellallut Inertia starter. Spin up a flywheel and engage a starter dog like a clutch. It can be found many aircraft. The starter flywheel can be spun up by hand or electrically with a power source.
Interesting to see just how easy they take it with power settings and speed with these historic machines when they fly them. Barely got above 1.1 ATA, RPM only over 2300 briefly, speed didn't even reach 250km/h.....a far cry from what it was rated for, and the constant thrashing of combat, and of course what we can only see nowdays, simulators like DCS and IL2BOX.

Not a pilot but im not sure how good rudder trimming would be on a bf 109 due to the lack of flight time by its smaller capacity fuel tanks. They weren't made for long distance flights. Also the landing and take off did not allow for skiding, so trim controls would probably lead to more losses on takeoff. At least from my understanding.
+Greg There are reputable aircraft brokers that sell restored aircraft and wrecks to prospective clients. Not many Bf-109s left around that are not already claimed by museums and projects.
True story: I got an ad selling this exact aeroplane a year or two ago, it was either 8 or 12 million €. Almost fell on the floor laughing. Google really knows what I like 😁
@@griffn14 Yes, I read that Hangar10 did offer the G-12 for sale. And rumored that EADS / Messerschmitt Museum might have bought it, but I have no current info to confirm that. Also, sometimes owners put these planes on the market just as a fishing exercise to see what prices they can get.
There is a "sold" on one site which had an ad for the G-12, I don't know much about warbird market to be sure though. Maybe they were just checking how much would it go for as you say.

Out of curiosity, why are the black markings overpainted by the yellow markings?
How do you start that engine? It obviously does not use a regular starter like a modern car engine.
+Lukaselin pellallut Inertia starter. Spin up a flywheel and engage a starter dog like a clutch. It can be found many aircraft. The starter flywheel can be spun up by hand or electrically with a power source.
Like! Viele gruBe aus Belarus! 👍👍
Zajebiste!! Oglądać glacę jakiegoś szkopa a w przerywniku liczniki, normalnie emocje że aż się kawą poparzyłem he,he!
Is this a converted Buchon? Sure its got a RR back in it now?
Franz Stigler once said during a aircraft museum tour, with B17 Pilot Charlie Brown, that he lost 17 ME109’s during his time in the war.
200 RAF pilots disliked this video
Why.
These trainers use to carry a belly tank as standard equiptment becase as a trainer the mid fusalage tank was deleated
just a word when you see the dreaded yellow nose flying again => wonderful !!!!
Hallo,
Ulli Schulz
Thank you for sharing this - a question, why is the cockpit vibrating, moving a little? Is it separate from the chassis?
+ xdz80 The camera is shaking.
@@FiveCentsPlease Thanks, Captain Obvious :) It is very confusing at 0:40 for example. Look at the gauges to the right. It does seem like the instrument panel is vibrating independently from the chassis.
I didn't know about the G-12 variation
Fantastich !!!
Fantastisch.
@@userK29m89aa Was fur ein Vogel!!!!
Die Bf 109 G-12 als Trainingsdoppelsitzer? Toll!
My god, what a beautiful machine, except that, Total lack of a rudder trimmer, but hey the auto Pitch or Rpm govenor is great.
I just noticed that it was the comment above that was recent and not yours. Hope you dont mind.
Was this an original two-seat trainer, or a later conversion?. Are they accepting paying passengers?
beautiful video but for me, the sound's quality is very bad.
Where do I find one to buy?
