  • The plaintiff says the defendant is her daughter, who won’t repay a loan. She’s suing for her hard-earned money back. The defendant claims her mother gave her the money so she could claim the defendant on her taxes, so she doesn’t owe.

      Yes absolutely, but it was the Mother who didn't get that she was shafting others! It really blows me away to see “parents” buying their kids out of trouble. You’re not teaching them anything good. Personal responsibility, do it correctly. I was out of work 40 years ago. Because of an injury to my shoulder I couldn’t do the work that I had chosen for my career. I bowed my head and asked for help from the government until I got back on my feet. The case worker told me “Mr Evans, I can write up a report so that you won’t have to go back to work and get you benefits.” I couldn’t see myself depending on the government to feen and house me and my children. I spent about a year recovering and took part time work and because of my work performance and ethic I was hired full time for the people I was working for part time. I spent 30+ years at that job and retired. Shoulder never was right, but it didn’t need to be for the job I took. Really sucks seeing people scam the system 🤬.

    It’s a crappy thing to do however it’s so annoying to hear judges go off on poor people for “scamming the system” when billionaires do it they’re passed for being knowledgeable of loopholes 🙄
    If people with more money than they could spend that they’ve inherited (wealth is largely inherited) are allowed than idk why poor people should be made to feel like bad people cause they do it to survive
    Edit: this comment section shows how well marketing by the wealthy has worked in the USA. Research the numbers - wealth is mostly inherited, passed down and kept within the same circles, and even than the wealthy have more money than they could spend (literal jets and gold rooms??) while finding loopholes to drain more in corporate bailouts than all of welfare while paying less in taxes, and fighting to pay us less. They don’t feel bad AT ALL yet we expect the poor struggling to eat and live (judge Milan needs to get back out if she thinks $350 biweekly is paying food, gas, health insurance, prescriptions, and travel while saving 🤦‍♀️) to be above it and be morale when asking for help? It’s hard to feel an obligation to the system when it’s so blatantly set up to abuse US citizens.

    So I have two questions....for the mother. If your daughter is in a homeless shelter and she needs $900 to qualify for government housing and she's NOT saving anything from the $360 she's getting from her job bi-weekly....what makes you think she's going to pay YOU back? If she can't even pay to qualify for the housing? And WHY DIDN'T YOU SEE that what your daughter was asking you to do is FRAUD? If she was saving the $50 every other week from her paycheck, like they had instructed her to do, by my count, it would take her roughly 8 and a half months to achieve this goal. Instead, you just helped her LIE to the housing authority and/or homeless shelter that she was staying in, that she had saved the money, when, the truth is, she had not....and you are mad that she didn't return the $900 to you. Why didn't you go WITH HER, since all she had to do was show the guy she had $900, and she was going to give it back immediately? She probably spent it the same way the rest of her money got spent....doing drugs. And then the daughter wants to whine to Judge Milian that her check got messed up and her mother was hassling her about giving the money back and THAT'S why she didn't pay it back.

  • @bravo2966
    @bravo2966 2 года назад +3

    Instead of cutting according to her cloth and saving the $50 a week she just spent whatever she wanted. A cheaper phone plan, less internet, less TV subscriptions, fresh food instead of takeout, and so on. Just do what it takes to slim down your expenses to make that $50 a week possible.
    Other people will be doing all that, and see this woman cut in line on them for housing, must be soul destroying.

I would NEVER help my kids pull a scam like that when it's clear they didn't try to hold up their end of the deal! As soon as my kids were able to walk, that's when we stopped babying them. Stop jumping on your bed you might fall off and hurt yourself. When they do fall off the bed; I do the I-told-you-so and I don't baby them. Guess what, they don't jump on the bed anymore. You have to carry that mindset while raising your kids. Stop making things easy for them, stop bailing them out when they chose to make a bad decision and STOP telling them they're special. When my kids leave my front door the person on the street doesn't give two cents about them and they need to learn to handle that! That's why there are so many narcissists in the world today!
