- The plaintiff and defendant used to be married. They bought a house together before their wedding, but the plaintiff says his ex-wife held up the sale of the house when they broke up. He claims she is retaliating against him, so he’s suing for legal fees, lost money, and renovation costs. The defendant argues the plaintiff cheated on him with a co-worker. She’s countersuing for the cost of a wedding dress and shoes.

To be a real man is how you treat your gf/wife/family/people you know or don't know you meet them in the street or anywhere. How you handle situations. I think the title of "man" has been grayed-out. A "man" would not have done the things he did here. I truly believe he has no conscience of the magnitude of pain, scarring and perhaps PTSD he's caused to this young woman's life, as well to those nearest to her. Perhaps he is a bit of a narcissist? Dunno? Perhaps? He is clueless as to the magnitude of his betrayal. Poor parents of the young lady, this must be so hard on them to see their daughter experiencing this. Perhaps a consolation, she is spared more heartache in the future. Thank GOD they did not have kids.
The most beautiful thing in life, in my opinion, is a man that resists lusting over other women. When a harlet comes to seduce him, he stops her on her tracks and politely says, I am in a committed relationship, and I love my girlfriend/wife. I truly think - that is a man.
I just don't understand women. On the one hand they want to be respected as strong capable human beings. On the other, they rely so much on men for their happiness. If you depend on another so much for life's satisfactions, chances are you're going to be sorely disappointed.

When my now ex husband and I were dating he told this story about how horrible he treated a girlfriend that cheated on him after I told him that I don’t tolerate cheating….. two years after I married him, I divorced him for cheating on me.
The funny thing is that he made crazy vindictive threats and got super defensive because he expected me to treat him as horrible as he treated the girl who cheated on him. I didn’t and he just couldn’t wrap his head around it. 😂

There was domestic violence, he was physically, emotionally and financially abusive, he was cheating with my best friend, and then when I overheard a phone call with his best friend, talking about hitmen etc, I was out of there. But I'm the a&hole. He used to say being a Secretary wasn't a career, yet he didn't work as he didn't want to. We had 2 children and even with time off for that, I still worked far more then he did throughout the marriage. I got the best revenge to some of his putting me down, I went on to get various degrees and other qualifications and own a home and half another. He is still living in a dump that he only owns a 3rd of and still doesn't have a career or probably a job and everyone around where he lives knows what he did and all see him for what he is.

so true. I dated my college sweetheart as my first boyfriend (a bit late but some of us take longer) and I am so happy I did not marry him. My parents erre so happy too when we broke up. Dodged a bullet there! Married the third boyfriend and we are so happy and in love over 25 years! Experience is so important and living on your own, your own apartment and your own money and job/career! My daughters have learned this lesson as well.

Men hit their prime much older but as women age their ability to get a man they want exponentially decreases. She should have been able to recoup the losses for the dress, for the entire wedding even. Perhaps if she had been able to articulate that the fact he was unfaithful even before the wedding means he entered into the agreement under false pretenses, essentially that he violated their contractual agreement according to the vows he publicly stated means he wasted not only her resources but those of her family, and essentially embezzled their money for something he knew was already a false agreement. His violation of the annulment agreement with the property further demonstrates his propensity to make false agreements and violate them
Then every wife ever cheated on would be in court suing their husbands for their bad behavior. Despite being horrible, there’s no law stating you get your money back if your husband cheats.
Women are the ones who want the big pointless weddings most of the time. He’s a scumbag, but I don’t see why he’d have to pay. You still had your lame overpriced party.

This is a very hard lesson for her, but a valuable one. She will now be able to recognize red flags and set boundaries and I fully expect her to find the right one for her. I have a feeling she is going to heal eventually and be stronger in the end.

I have the same thing happening to me right now that she's gone through. honestly, it has been the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. the pain every day knowing you've been traded in by the person you trusted to share your life with just devastates.
Came to court, won $0 and now not only does everybody know he’s a cheat, but also how badly he cheated. After being a cheater, he couldn’t even have the remorse to just let it go. No empathy whatsoever.
