Social media topic got me good. I am feeling right now what Jack felt years ago, and many of people probably experienced. I hope I can find my way through it as well. Really good interview here!

YES - You got Jack! His courses have been some of the best pieces of guitar education I have used, in terms of theory and visualization.

Awesome interview Justin, I love your videos!
I really appreciated Jack's point about "embracing the suck" when it comes to practice haha

Really great interview! Please keep making these videos, I really love the fact that it's more about practice and technique development. It really helps to hear what practice may have looked for these amazing guitar players at different stages in their life. I would love to see you interview Nick Johnston, Max Ostro, Rick Graham, Vinnie Moore, Greg Howe, Sean Ashe, or Gus G. one day!

Justin. Wanted to share an idea for training.
In surgery, surgeons are advised to stretch and strength train to avoid lumbar and cervical vertebrae injuries.
I recently learned of two wrist/hand stretches: Hold both hands together as if shaking your own hands. Rotate the wrists circular so tendons in wrists and hands get gentle stretch. Then second stretch hands palm to palm, namaste like, turn fingers upward towards face, gently press.
I use these when doing chromatic scales as the small half steps cause my hands to tighten during metronome work. I stop the metronome training every few min to stretch using these drills. Ive found they help to relax which helps accuracy and speed.
Additionally sweep picking ive found increases strength which helps doing chromatic alternate picking scales. I will do sweeps then to chromatic alternate picking and back and forth.
These stretches will lessen feelings of boredom and frustration when doing metronome work.
I learned of these from Andre Tonelli youtube(thx Andre!)ruclips.net/video/NeNBXDw5uE4/видео.htmlfeature=shared
