So the ghost's name is Claude Crowl, the father/husband of the wife/mother Janette Crowl and the son Bastien Crowl. We've figured it out! Now the question is, how did they die? What was the cause, and why was Bastien weakening at the end of a home movie?

A lot of answers are being revealed! I feel like we're getting closer and closer to figuring out what happened with this family... but I wonder what it all has to do with Tux and Fanny? There has to be some connection, I would think.

I thought about this question a bit and I realized... the French family's lives are supposed to parallel those of Tux and Fanny's, somewhat. Yes, they do different stuff and speak different languages, but there are little moments of interconnection, like both families hanging out on the beach and their houses being built seemingly in the middle of nowhere. They are different, yet in so many ways the same.
Just like Claude, Jeanette, and Bastian were a family, Tux and Fanny are a family. They aren't siblings (as far as I know), and they aren't in love romantically, but they're family. I could go on and on about their relationship, because it's my favorite thing about this webseries / movie series, but I think I'll save that for a video essay. For now, just know that I'm captivated with these two families.
