22 Rooms

Before I start animating the third Tux and Fanny movie, I thought I would share some other projects I'm working on here. This first one is a short film I made called 22 Rooms. This film began on March 13, 2023 when I visited a thrift store I frequent often. As I walked through the front doors an image of a keyboard suddenly popped into my head. I made my way to the electronic section first, like I always do, and sure enough, there was the very keyboard I had just imagined. I took it as a sign that I must buy this particularly crappy keyboard, made of lightweight plastic, priced at only $9.99. With the keyboard under my arm I headed to the books. For some reason my eye caught a large book of antique furniture sitting high on the shelf. Flipping through the black and white photos I knew what I had to do. I hurried home and began making a film about rooms, where the only rule was each room must have a piece of furniture from the book and a song from the keyboard.

It is a very experimental short film and a pretty relaxing soundtrack and atmospheric. I really want to see another tux and funny movie in the future.

Read the description after watching, and this is a really clever idea for a short film! Those kinds of creative challenges can be super fun. I do have to say though, Kirby kissing the Pink Panther was the last thing I expected to see today XD

If you forced me to answer what room I resonated with most. I would probably say the Seinfeld super Mario bathtub suicide with a little bunny rabbit in the corner room.
