All great movies have a "vibe", and this one certainly has one. The best auteur-filmmakers not only help shape an actor's performance, or have a strong opinion on where to put the camera, or make sure everything on set is in place -- they curate the slightest detail to make sure the universe portrayed has a particular feel, consonant with their vision.
