yay, Peter is back! this looks absolutely lovely and I'm looking forward to seeing more videos on this plugin. will it be available as AU or is it only for Abletone (max for live)?
I was only on the design side of things, didn't actually do any of the coding. That stuff is a bit beyond my skill level! You can kind of get close to this functionality on Norns with Infinite Digit's oooooo script, or MLR/MLRE.
This is a wonderful plug-in. I realise it's essentially a granulator, but the approach is completely different! I'll be using it on a regular basis, I've played around with it a bit and it's damn good for loops that don't sound good in normal granulators. It's also good as a complex delay for anything! The outgoing faders follow a mouse click, I didn't find that very convenient. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the plugin.
Yes! Granulator/complex delay are 2 of my favorite ways to use it as well. I’m a little confused about the faders following mouse click part. Could you explain that?
I'm confused what the device is doing? because all the track functions you show are already possible in ableton. And the tape wow and flutter from tape is already well recreated accurately by free plugins like chow tape. Is it a work flow thing?
Nice plugin! I'd love to buy it but there is the 10 second limit... I need 60 minute like real cassette. So I can record songs. Is it possible make that change in the next update?
Our goal with this device was to build on the workflow of using a 4 track tape recorder as a looper. This is not meant to be used as a device for recording entire songs. We are looking into the possibility of extending the loop buffer time, but maybe to the one minute range. Our main concern is ensuring the plugin runs well, and isn't too cpu intensive, so we will be working within those constraints!
@@mattinarekangas9967 I'd say your best bet is just setting up four audio tracks in Ableton, and recording there. There are no shortage of tape saturation plugins out there if you want to get close to the sound of a cassette.
@@peterbarkmusic I'm looking for the workflow and limitations of recording to a cassette. Your plugin would be just the thing if only longer recording time could be possible.
Hey thank you! very cool. One thing: I can't drag some audios to the plugin. I know should be less than 10 seconds, but for some reason are some audios that doesn't work. How can I fix this? Should be able to work with any audio less than 10 seconds.
I'm kinda struggling to understand what this can do that I can't already do in Ableton (?) At 5:00 you say that audio files dragged in can only be a maximum of 10 seconds. For me, personally, that's a massive turn-off. Is there a maximum length for recording going directly in?
The device is meant to get as close to working on an analog 4 track as possible. If you check out the audio demos video hopefully that will clear up the questions about what it can do. The live recording limit is 10 seconds as well. The 10 second limit was chosen to mimic the length of analog loop tapes, as well as keep the plug-in running efficiently. 4 buffers each with longer times would start getting too CPU intensive.
For anyone wanting to hear the plugin in action check out the follow up video here:

Very psyched on this! Peter Bark has put a ton of work into this plugin and so excited to finally see it out and get people using it!
Purchased. Can't believe how awesome it is❤
Mate.... WELL DONE. Can't wait to play with this. Buying it now! Thank you!
Amazing! I absolutely cannot wait to try this out. Excited to see you back posting videos too

It's a Maxforlive device, so Ableton only!
This is awesome man! My respect!🙌🙌🙌
I NEED THIS IVE NEVER EVEN SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS!!! i don’t have abelton yet tho i’m too broke still
Amazing idea, what an incredible surprise. Super hyped to get my hands on it.
Small feature I'd love to see is the ability to load your own noise sources, could open up some awesome sound design possibilities
Just seen this on Will Hatton channel, looks well cool, great work dude! ❤
This looks great! Looking forward to giving it a go
Looking forward to hear it in action
Just grabbed this - the UI is very small on 4k monitor however, is there a way to resolve this?
I saw a video of Will Hatton using it, good stuff.
Bravo!! 👏 and thanks!!
Now I just want to see it in action.
Heyo good shit!
I would have paid $100 for this lol. This is something I’ve wanted in Ableton for years 🎉
Well done Peter! Now I just have to get Ableton ... unless you can port the plugin to Norns :)

Looks interesting. I hope the demo videos come out before the sale ends.
I was planning on putting out the demo video Tuesday, but I think I’ll bump it up to today.
Sounds fun

@@peterbarkmusic The outgoing fader jumps to the mouse position instead of moving smoothly
@@peterbarkmusic I mean Output fader
@@sonnov I'm not sure why that's happening for you, I just checked on my end and clicking and dragging works smoothly for me.
@@peterbarkmusic The problem is exactly what click works) I'd like the vertical fader to work like the circular faders.

I'd suggest watching the two other videos I've released on the device. Should clear up what exactly the plugin is capable of.

@@peterbarkmusic Ok, I understand. There is no workaround? Maybe you guys can make a DAW based on this plugin? Would rule.

any wav file 10 seconds or less should work. if the files you're trying to drag in aren't wavs maybe try converting them and see if that works.

I was wondering where the hell you been! Does this mean the Norns video continue???
I do plan on returning to the script videos at some point. There are a couple scripts I still haven't covered that I need to get around to doing!

Can you make full frequency spectrum
The plugin itself doesn't actually produce any sound, it plays back samples or recorded material.
Not a single sound coming from it.... I would have reconsidered that decision!
This was meant to be a visual manual explaining how the device works. Audio demos will be in next week’s video.
It sounded …oh there was no sound …..tilt 🤓
Planning on releasing a video next week with some audio demos, this video was meant to serve as a visual manual.
Good to hear it it looks like a very well developed app 🙏🙏🏿👍
