- In this video we take a look inside a GoTrax G2 Scooter. This scooter is giving a E3 Error code and the manual simply states to replace the console. Not much help really. In the previous video we show a quick look at removing the console, console disassembly as well as troubleshooting the signals to the Console control board. Thank you very much buddy for your link on the throttle controller. Didn't have to do all the work that you did just replace the throttle controller itself and arrow was gone. Just finished grease in the bearings front and rear of the wheels got a new tire coming in for the front it's going to be like in new scooter again.
I have a 30e code and I’ve replaced main board on the scooter. Going to replace the display but so far I still have the 30e code

What’s an E5 error mean on my 2023 gotrax fusion basic? I already replaced the console. Is it motor or ESC module ?
I believe E5 points towards the controller, but I did not have that issue on mine, so I am not much help with that.
I have a problem on my gotrax that looks just like that, it turns on but the throttle doesn’t work. I also cannot put the cover back on where it protects the wire. Can I have some help?
Hi, the one in the video is the only one I have worked on. I don't have anymore information than shared in the video. Just make sure you are kicking off on the scooter well so the throttle can detect it and start up the hub motor. Best of luck to ya!
My scooter throws the codes out I have to jump, started to get it going.Does it need a new battery.
I think all these models have to be kick started to take off?
Mine says 23e I have no clue what to do 😣 lol
I don't see that on the G2, on the XR series 23E shows this code as motor failure...

You might get lucky with some plastic safe contact cleaner like the one below. It could be Debris inside the throttle making it tight. Otherwise it will most likely need replacing. Best of luck to ya!

Are you kick starting the scooter and after it gets up to a little speed then pushing the throttle. Most of these type ofl scooters are kick start. If that is not the problem then it could even be the throttle is broken or unplugged, but usually it shows an error code if the throttle is open/broken.

This is kind of an old video but i hope you still read and answer comments on it. I have bought a ninebot replica roller, and yesterday E3 code started appearing randomly after a while of scooting. What could that mean? Like sometime it appears for a couple seconds, i wait and then it goes normally again. Like one time i wanted to go up a slight slope and it just could not do it, got the e3 error constantly
It depends on what brand it is and what the manufacturers information says the E3 code is really. I don't know who made it, it may be the same as the real Nine bot, but who knows without the info. E3 in the case of the one in the video here was the throttle hall sensor, but not all manufacturers use that same error code alignment. It is most likely a Hall sensors error, but whether it is the motor, throttle etc. you will have to look up the error codes specific to your model.

I don't have any experience with that. I would only know to try the more obvious things first. Make sure connections are good and if Voltage is getting to the light itself and go from there. Best of luck to ya!

Well, it's been a little while since I worked on this. I believe the connectors are opposite on these. Double check me on that. I think one uses the female connector and the other uses male to keep them from being plugged up to the wrong input. Other than the connector on this model, I believe the sensor is the same! I have an odd problem. I am getting 4.4 volts going to my throttle, but then when I push the throttle and measure, it votes from 3.58 to .78? Do you have any idea why it would be going down instead of up? Thanks for the video! It’s been a great help

I have only worked on this one and the voltage for both brake and throttle went from low to high. I am not sure if some are different or not. It makes sense that the input would go from low to high to me. I would compare with the Brake sensor to make sure it's controlling the same.

I have a go trax 2 and when pluged in charging it turns on but if unplugged it will not turn on. Any suggestions?
A couple of things I would try.
Making sure after charging that the battery voltage is good and it's making it's way to the board. Next, I would check the power push button itself to make sure it's working properly. Best of luck to ya!
great vid… how do I position the magnet inside of the small (two screw) break handle access panel?
I simply replaced the throttle, I did not remove or replace the magnet on this one so I don't know for sure. I did show the hall sensor broken in the video, but did not go any further with that.

What does the “H” mean on the display when you are testing it at the end?
I believe you are asking about the cruise control (or Hold) feature. I was holding the throttle at the same position for over 10 secs and it shows H and beeps once in cruise mode or holds that setting even once the throttle is released. This Hold mode is deactivated if you press the brake very similar to how a car cruise control would work. Some model scooters also release the Hold mode once you manually move the throttle again to gain back manual throttle control.

Have not seen that myself. I would try to clean connections between the controller and battery pack and re test. That's all I would know at this point. Best of luck to ya!

Thank you so much! I was able to fix my boys scooter. Now i just have to fix my scooter. Its a Gotrax g4 saying low battery but the battery is new. I checked with meter and it says 42v. So i dont know
Awesome job. As far as yours goes, that's a tough one. With a new battery it seems the controller itself is not showing the correct voltage. I have not worked on that issue. All I would know to do is check the board around the battery connection for solid connection and then try your best to find traces from battery input to the microcontroller. It could possibly be a bad resistor or diode inline with the battery for the microcontroller reference. Hard to say for sure. Best of luck to ya!
mine is the other way round. wasn't able to charge to 42V, stop right at around 38V. Seems like the microcontroller is not reading the voltage correctly. not sure how to fix that.
My son has an issue with his G2 scooter. The motor won’t run like there is no power. But there are no errors. Any ideas would be helpful
I don't know if you are new to the scooter or not so the first thing I ask is if you know that it is a kick scooter meaning that you have to kick off and get it rolling and then push throttle to activate motor! Some simply don't know this when they first get the scooter. Thats the only thing that I can think of with no error.
@@ThriftyToolShed yes it a kick scooter. We have had it for about a year. It just died while riding it and hasn’t worked since.

I think you are asking about the display board? The only place I would know maybe eBay at times. I do not see any on there at the moment though!

Most silicone heat sink compound should work fine. If you did not wipe it off then it should be fine unless it did get smeared...
