    I think the reason why Lorkhan's subplot (and really the entire Enantiomorph) had to be resolved is because Talos was the last Tower, the last unresolved plot thread in the Aurbis. All the other Towers had fallen, their plotlines resolved, bringing the story closer and closer to an ending, closer and closer to Amaranth. Lorkhan (Talos) was the last Tower, and by finally regaining his heart and making peace with Akatosh, the last Tower was resolved. With the final plot thread resolved, we can finally move on to a new story, and close the book on the old. A new Amaranth filled with Nu-men.

    I'm going to be completely honest about this video. It didn't have enough people talking at the same time. It was too short too. Next time I think you should make sure you have at least 8 people trying to talk at the same time, and maybe try to make the video at least four hours. This lorecast just didn't cut it for me.

      Look at that, we filled the whole bottom of the screen up with tiny people faces.

    • @TulkuGendun
      @TulkuGendun 9 лет назад +8

      rottendeadite Yeah, but they needed to be talking over each other more often. Plus this video was still way too short for my tastes. You guys could have at least made it for hours.

      As for the talking over each other, the thing is that all of us are actually pre-recorded finger puppets that Deadite has to film between 'casts. Since we did weeklies for the last four, he only had so much time to make, VA and edit the finger puppet footage together to simulate a real conversation.

    Salt is used to preserve things, normally meats, but in this case i think it's preserving society.

    To me, the whole television-fighting cyberpunk story thing can be seen as similar to our world's adaptation of Norse mythology done by Marvel. It's trying to adapt the old stories in a way that's more appealing and suited for modern audiences. I don't suppose anyone has seen Videodrome by Cronenberg? It says some interesting things about the nature of television and what it does to the viewer. Another good one is Existenz, also by Cronenberg, that poses very interesting ideas about video games, the nature of reality, why we play games and what we do to them and what they do to us. Another thing is that some of the imagery in the big damn Big V Gang story reminded me of imagery in the very strange cyberpunk book Vurt, which also deals with dreams, what reality is, fun stuff like that. Good book.

    Maybe the reasons that the Dunmer and Khajiit are chilling with each other is because they are both deeply connected to Azura more than any of the other races?

    Audry's - and, by extention, Lady N's - mention of the Psuedo Sixth House scene as a "modern", commercial re-imaging of the Tribunal and their exploits reminds me of how Jesus is depicted on television in Fahrenheit 451.

    So did the Bosmer ascend/vanish with the Altmer? Or were they destroyed by Numidium during Landfall? Did they just not make it to the Spaceship to Masser? I'm also wondering what happened to the Hist and the Argonians. Since the Hist were from the previous Kalpa, and I assumed there was Numidium then, so could they have survived Landfall?

    Is the ocean to be taken literally as memory? Or is it about the aspect and qualities of the ocean that bring about the conceptual idea of memory, such as what is unknown and what is familiar (id, superego, ego), as well as lands known as home and the ideas beyond the horizon of consciousness awareness?

    • @Aramithius
      @Aramithius 9 лет назад +4

      It's not just the oceans, it's water. Thinking about it in terms of the human body being 2/3 water, and what that means (props to Cody I think for pointing this out?). People's way of understanding their reality is very much grounded in their previous experiences, even before we care consciously aware of it. And this makes up an awful lot of our way of being. I discuss this further here: www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/2mk0l7/giles_deleuze_memory_reality_tes_and_buggering/
      I'm inclined to think that it might almost be literal memory, thanks to the sudden appearance of oceans after the mass deaths in the Ehlnofey Wars, but I have no more to go on than that (and the idea of memories sloughing off souls as they go into the Dreamsleeve kind of fits). But it is a fantastic conceptual tool for considering how memory works and interacts with things in TES.

    And we definitely missed a lot, so anybody reading this, stop reading this (and boo on you for reading youtube comments in the first place) and go read C0DA again.

    Chris conducts this discussion like a schoolmaster
    My response & opinion:
    C0DA is not Elder Scrolls lore and is not the end of the story of Morrowind
    C0DA is fan fiction which borrows some elements from the Elder Scrolls games and lore
    Which is fine; but it shouldn't be presented as if it were Elder Scrolls lore or the end of Morrowind.

    • @frysfolio
      @frysfolio 8 лет назад +7

      I don't think it's an opinion to think C0DA is fan-fic, tbh it's more of an opinion to think it's Lore I think because nothing in the game or official novels give credence to it.

      But canon is meaningless anyway. Headcanon is the way to go, as an RPG.

    • @jasonfenton8250
      @jasonfenton8250 6 лет назад +5

      c0da makes c0da canon. Get vehked on s'wit.

    • @Watcher-hh4mu
      @Watcher-hh4mu 6 лет назад +4

      Horatio Nelson, talking about the same canon rife with retcon after retcon? The same canon that had much of the Arena/Daggerfall lore discarded, the same canon that introduced dragon breaks after the game was a real RPG at one point, the same canon that referenced Cyrodiil being a jungle but never doing it, the same canon where nords shout houses down but suddenly reintroduces way of the voice, the same canon where TESO studio hires a loremaster to plug in every lore inconsistency that they make? I'd rather not get vehked on, s'wit. I don't even care if c0da makes anything canon. C0da is c0da and headcanon is awesome.

    I appreciate the usage of non gendered pronouns for Vivec, but wouldn’t “they” be a lot easier than a neopronoun? Or is hir (I think that’s what he is saying) what MK uses/official?

    • @lowkey6134
      @lowkey6134 3 года назад +2

      "they" would probably be most actuate because Vivec is both genders
