That is done through Autodesk ALGOR and Inventor models can be linked into ALGOR with a push of a button. ALGOR does FEA, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, and multi-physics. So you could build the piping system with Inventor Tube and Pipe then push to ALGOR to run extended analysis.

Hi John is very interesting ... but you could make a tutorial calculating efforts gears, mesh and restrictions. thanks

very nice video im hoping to use these methods in some simulations im doing for my final year thesis. Totaly non related but i really like how you have a grey background, i have a nasty blue one and looks horrible, i would much rather prefer the grey background because it looks much nicer in my opinion. How did you get it?

John why did you not apply the gravity force to the FEA? Would your results have been different if you did? I always do to make the analysis more of a real world situation. Your thoughts?

    nice vid man.
do you know if inventor Analyses steam or fluids, eg through pipes, or can it only do simple force and pressure?
    thanks

i don't think inventor does that , you could try out Autodesk Simulation Mechanical and Multiphysics
