- Elon Musk has restored the X account of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, pointing to a poll on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter that came out in favor of the Infowars host who repeatedly called the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting a hoax.
Congrats to Alex Jones. Bravo to Elon Musk. A win for free speech.

The Elon Musk poll had 1,966,125 votes in the final results with 70.1% of twitter/X voting 'Yes'. The media should always include those absolute facts when they spin these Musk hit pieces.

Calling someone a "conspiracy theorist" with zero context. Great reporting WGN, you'll reach CNN status in no time.
For years Alex Jones said the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax and claimed that the parents grieving their murdered elementary school children were "soap-opera actors." It got so bad that people were posting horrible things on the memorial page for a 6 year old girl who was murdered in the shooting and the parents of the girl had to take down the memorial page and relocate because of threats made against them by conspiracy theorists. The worst part about this is Jones knew the whole time the shooting was in fact real and not a staged event, but his bogus claims were garnering so many views and generating so much revenue for him that he knowingly continued spreading lies for years, regardless of the negative impact it had on grieving families. Alex Jones is THE conspiracy theorist, and he doesn't even believe what he says he just knows the crazies will throw money at him for saying it whether its real or not and then claims he's just "playing devil's advocate"
That's how the media discredit their enemies
