The reason why the parts sometime clip is because (from what I can tell) Lego designers use a modified version of lego digital designer (LDD) to generate the instruction booklets. As such, I would guess that when exporting/rendering the 3d models, the application sometimes glitches and shifts the x/y coordinates of the parts. Other times, it's just a mistake a lego designer made when making the 3d model.

For the instruction errors, I've noticed a trend: when blocks disappear, it's always something that you can *technically* do early. Almost as if they originally have steps in a different order pre-finalization and then only renumber them later, not re-edit.
Example: in the batman set, the black blocks vanish in step 11. Swap steps 11 and 6. Do 11 first in the place of 6, then do step 6 in the place of 11. Makes more sense as to why the blocks vanish.

    Theory about the reindeer:
They wanted to use a red stud to represent "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", but weren't sure whether or not they legally could.
They either tried getting the rights, or were waiting for their legal dept to tell them it was vague enough to be fine, but time constraints forced them to get the instructions ready before they got an answer..so they made the instructions without the nose (idea being that they would just come back and add the little step where the nose is added at the last second, buying themselves a little more time for legal to say they could use the red stud).
But they either didn't get a response in time, or the answer was "no", because it's just a black stud.

Yeah, back when I was learning how to do assemblies in Solidworks (a common CAD program), we used a digital lego technic set to build something with, so I would absolutely believe they use a similar program for creating new bricks and designing the instructions.
However, with CAD assemblies, One problem with mates (the instruction that says “hey this piece should be inside of this piece or tangent to this other piece” etc, and the next time you try to add something or move something, its a clipping fest lol, especially in large assemblies. And that’s not even going into how your first draft of custom components meant to be assembled is never ever gonna fit quite right on the first pass (unless you have the graphics capability to build within an assembly smoothly, which my older computer doesn’t - it always stutters and glitches and makes things impossible to work around when I try more than a few simple edits to a part while its in assembly lol.)

hold up, you could make an entirely new set if you combined 2 other sets?
that's a cool concept, although it of course costs more.

Hi. Today I noticed a mistake on the box "Harry Potter Hogwarts Astronomy Tower 75969. We can notice it from the front in a small window where we can see the whole building from the back, but we can notice it better from the back of the box. In the highest room where there is a telescope and a parchment with a constellation. The binoculars levitate, there should be the same blue piece under it as there is on the globe below. I will be happy if this error is in any video or short video. 😉🙂

On the top of the box on set 60304 where it shows you can connect the set to others, it doesn't shade out all of set 60290 leaving it to look like a barricade from set 60290 is part of set 60304.

I found an error, well, not really. But REALLY confusing, at set 75309, step 364, the round'ish bricks need to be on top of the long plate. But it perfectly overlaps so it looks like the 1x4 part of the round'ish part is supposed to be on the long plate. I fixed this tho by looking at the step before this one, where you need to do this on the other side.

Hey! I have a really good one I found a while back.
In set number 7690 (the Mars Mission Eagle Command Base) the parts list for the set includes one extra of part number 30055, despite it not actually being used in the set whatsoever. I looked through the manual several times trying to find a step I missed but couldn’t. I may be wrong but I’m fairly certain it was never used.

At one point, all books were sold to customers that way. The market for paper knives was higher back then.

have you noticed the mistake in Lego Ninjago Shuricopter?
On the box, the tail fin piece at the back at the helicopter is actually placed too far back, whereas in the instructions it tells you to place it 2 studs forwards, which looks much more correct.

    Review Lego Mario.
My own story of “The Great Lego Mario Epidemic (I came up with the name)”: While Sega was busy with making Sonic into movies in 2020, Nintendo, having six years worth of money more than Sega, got an actual deal with Lego to make Lego Super Mario (in Walmarts, Targets, malls, and the Amazon website). With some cool fricking ideas, Lego Luigi from 2021, Lego Peach coming this August, having Lego Mario, Lego Luigi, and Lego Peach as electronic Lego figures that run on batteries, and a free app that replaces the manuals, I’d say Nintendo has outmatched Sega. The batteries are triple A.
