Yes please! I do this now too. Love it! Always grateful to you Coach. This has definitely been helpful to me since I’m tired of having so many variables in play because of my set up. Great stuff!
Game changer. Don’t normally like ‘tip’ videos but watched this one as my chipping (particularly very short chips) has been awful. Tried this on the chipping green in a practice session and it’s so easy. I think the weak left hand is the piece I’d never heard before and makes a huge difference. Cheers coach.
Great vid janner ! Madeira , been there 4 times , the hotel behind you is casino pestana hotel !! Beutiful island !! Not as good as plymouth though haha ! Well done mate !
Started doing this when I was thinning every chip. Such a great way to chip consistently. Went to Madeira 30 years ago and loved it. Hope you had a great time Coach!!
fabulous view...hard to tell if you are on a flat lie there, you look up hill...what if you're in less than ideal ...like down in the rough or in bare/thin lies?
I tried this after seeing the video of your lesson a while back, and finding out that the grip has to match the type of chip you’re looking to play is a game changer! I always thought that changing your grip for different shots was bad but now I think about it, why not?
Echo all the comments and achieved a respectable result but not perfect until it suddenly dawned on me I was looking up almost before impact. Now I almost my head back ( feel) and my low point control has improved significantly. Do you do a simple pitching version?
Question about setting the wrist hinge in full swings with short, mid, long, woods, and driver. Am I supposed to time the wrist hinge differently? If so where is the best spot to do it? I would imagine the short iron would be sooner or is it all the same?
For an ultra delicate chip, I use a left hand low grip and swing with the same effort as a conventional grip and the ball carries less distance. I wanna see you demo it Coach!
Goodness, but I need help w chipping and short pitching rn. for example, I *hammered, my driver last 2 rounds (avg 301 total w only one lost ball over 36 holes). Decent irons - nothing shocking...but failed to break 80 either round bc of losing 4 or 5 shots to shocking chips and short pitches. fats, thins, and weirdly the opening the face in transition to the point of shanking
@@CoachLockey im going to try it. i do something in my setup that gets me shifting pressure, crashing down, and somehow also opening face at times. once it happens once, and certainly if twice in a round, Im cooked: itll be yips the rest of the way in

Awesome. Thanks for watching and glad it helped 👍👍
Thank you Coach
My pleasure!
Great tips at an obviously great and beautiful setting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Let’s go coach Lockdog🎉
I ll try it

Thanks, I'll give it a try. 🙂
Good stuff 😎

Bare/thin lies 100% use this. Depends how thick the rough is but same technique with ball position back a little should still get good results.
Haven't tested it yet but all good stuff coach, thank you
just great !!!
Hello, can you tell when you use your lobwedge in the shortgame then?
So simple I’ll give it a try😊
Let me know how you go 👌

the wooden man is back! love it, will try it in practice today.

What do you mean essentially about taking away hinge coach? Palm grip?
As much ulnar deviation as possible 👍 with a weak grip
You look like you're in paradise. Coach, what's longer chrome soft or chrome soft x?
Like a couple yards in the at 300 yards probably. So nothing.
This is a great drill! What a location ❤
Yes it was! 😍🔥
The "twitchy" 10 foot chip is the bane of my game.

Hey coach, I have those dippy knees, how on earth do I stop those from doing that???
Watch the video and do what it says 😂
How did you not use that intro shot as a thumbnail?! That's an amazing view wow!
Hmm 🤔 maybe I should of. Wonderful views from the course 😍

This is help with chipping 😂

Could adapt to short putts too
And longish 👍👍👍
The weak grip set my short game free
Just use a chipper???
This technique with a chipper should be banned its so easy haha
like it
Let’s go 👍
Forget the towel, use an oversized pair of trousers.
Simon Cowell drill 😂😂
Looks a repeatable delicate chip.... will try
I was fine until he came to strong grip/weak grip. I have no idea what he's talking about. 😐 What is a "strong" grip vs. a "weak" grip?
Did I not show you? Lead hand in grip position, weak you would only see 1 knuckle, strong 3/4 knuckles.
Now turn around and smash one into the bay😂 everyone wants you too😅
(Yes I know it's a long way but..... We could all make that shot😂😂😂😂😂)
Open club face, brush the grass right under the ball.
Old Fart again: great practice tip..
