I'm a big knife nut, as a teen, and got into the hobby about 2 years ago. Been into knives since i was 7, and got my first benchmade today. Went somewhere that had it on clearance a few weeks ago, (bugout for 80 bucks) but didn't get it cause I was with my parents, and my Poppy and I always get knives together (also I didn't think my parents would let me get a 80 dollar knife). Went today to get it with him and they didn't have it. I was pretty dissapointed, but then we went to Cabella's and him and we split the price of the Griptilian 551 (coated blade s30v). Gosh. What a knife. I used to get cheap stuff, but I'm trying to get better stuff now. I think as a younger knife nut, people don't think i know knives, but i do know a bit, and love this channel because it's an awesome community.

@Free World Are there people out there who use things like knives irresponsibly? Yeah, sure. All the time. But you can say that about anything. To carry or not to carry, expensive or not it depends of the law, in France you have chance to be arrested if you carry a combat knife or anything that looks like "agressive knife". But you can carry a swiss knife because it's considered as a tool.
This is exactly why I don't buy super high-end expensive knives anymore like the Marfione Custom manual Socom Elite Purple "Warcom" with Stingray Inlay 4" Apocalyptic finish that I bought about a years ago. Why, because while I was carrying/EDCing that Marfione custom manual Socom Elite Warcom during the day I always ended up using my secondary($180.00ish) knife to actually cut stuff because that Marfione custom manual Socom Elite Warcom cost me about $1,500.00 after tax and every time I carryed it I was always thinking about its trade value and not wanting to diminish that trade value by scratching the blade or getting marks/scratches on the purple handle.
