Anyway I taught myself how to use it. This actually took me back to some awesome memories! Thank you!

I've just been doing a basic open for years, or a basic open with an additional 360° rotation to make it look fancier but I'm gonna practice these now I did have one question, is there an elegant way of getting from the safe grip to the bite handle grip for the Y2K?
It's the ultimate fidget spinner, you can get a cheap one but you 100% need to buy loctite thread lock for the screws or it'll fall apart on you. Great fun, and it'll keep you off your screen for a bit

If you are going to do that. then get a Bali-Comb (in Australia). The teachers don't care as long as it isn't a weapon. So you could probably get away with a trainer. Surprisingly enough, I got Y2K within the first 5 throws. The onky issue I have not is the safe handle catching on the thumb’s knuckle on that initial release.
"After you learn them" I can't express enough how true this is!! Learning how to flip and spin a butterfly knife at the start can be sooo painful, sometimes you mess up at the start of the trick, or right at the end, and it can really be painful. In the end, though, it's always so satisfying to fully complete and know a trick, and in my opinion, that's worth it.

Y2K is my favorite beginner trick, it teaches you to trust the knife when letting it go
true, i tried the Y2K for at least half an hour straight and kept failing because i didnt trust the knife going out of my hands for even a second.
