The first MK movie and Trilogy were the reasons why I gave a crap about the series in the first place, and as a kid, I didn't think this movie was all that bad, but I definitely did notice some of the horrible editing, and awful green screen and "special effects", if you even want to call them that... and them killing off Johnny Cage in the first 2 minutes, which was a bad idea. +Antichrist2000 Woah I was not aware of him trying to claim Scorpion... Ed Boon must have been FURIOUS Scorpion is his favorite character on his own games roster xD
To be fair, if Outworld is invading Earth realm, Kahn's army would be in Earth realm, not in Outworld where the final confrontation with Kahn takes place.
Yeah. Considering the terms of Mortal Kombat, Earth would be on the brink of takeover by Outworld so technically it should’ve been on Earth as a sort of honorable last stand since Shao Kahn was one tournament away from total victory. Then again, he has been breaking several rules to get to that point and so he totally had the match in Outworld as an assumption that he had it in the bag. Obviously Liu Kang proved otherwise.
Man, the ending in the first movie was so epic, that Shao Khan looked so menacing, but then I got REALLY disapointed when I saw this Shao Khan, he sounds like he's trying to hold his laugh every time he talks!
No, he's crying and talking at the same time. And to be fair, I first WATCHED this movie past week and it's even worse than I thought it would be. It's worse than Legacy I suppose😒😡🔥💥...
District 9. One of my favorite movies directed by one of my favorite director’s. Neil Blomkamps movies and those at OATs studios are awesome. They’re basically perfect examples of science fiction.
I genuinely love the first "Mortal Kombat" movie as a decent, entertaining, fun bit of 90's cheese. And I genuinely love "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" as an underrated so-bad-it's-good masterpiece. I never see it mentioned as a "so-bad-it's-good" film, but with a couple friend to riff with and a couple drinks in you... it's fucking brilliantly bad.
I am not going to lie...I fucking LOVED this movie as a kid. I was aware of how stupid it was though hahaha. I had it burnt on a vhs tape, and I watched it multiple times a month.
Actually, the first Mortal Kombat movie was only Paul W.S. Anderson's SECOND film, his debut feature was the little-seen British juvenile delinquent caper "Shopping", starring Sadie Frost and Jude Law.
How about a Hilariocity review of Speed 2: Cruise Control? Another horrendous sequel released in 1997 with a 3% on Rotten Tomatoes. How's that for a coincidence?

the first mortal kombat was a bad movie yes but i think for many people its like a guilty pleasure its so bad its good ya know? but yeah the 2nd one was complete shiiiiiit idk what i hate more 2nd mortal kombat or dragonball evolution tbh
kbdemonbain That is easy for me to awnser. Dragonball evolution was supposed do be adapted from the mangaand they FUCKED IT UP. Mortal Kombat was just made up because the game was simple "choose a warrior defeat your opponents anddefeat Shao Kahn to save earth. But your right MK 2 was horrible.Oh and did you know in the first MK movie they were going to haveCameron Diaz to play Sonya but she got hurt for some reason.
dragonball evolution was the best damn movie ever made.mortal kombat was not as good as dragon ball evolution and the first mortal kombat movie was the worst movie ever.
Ben Jones no the dragon ball was the worst considering it was done fate 2010 so no excuses atleast with mortal kombat you can see its old so you can kinda gif it a bli spur of like whenever I watch the evil dead the effects are shit but it's old so ....

@@EnvisionerWill cool story, can you tell it again? Do you have time?
EnvisionerWill That’s too bad.

“As long as the portals remain open, YOUR WORLD BECOMES MY WORLD!” is my new favorite villainous line lmao
WITH ENDLESS OPTIONS FOR RENEWEL. WITH ENDLESS OPTIONS FOR RENEWEL. WITH ENDLESS OPTIONS FOR RENEWEL.
I actually thought the first one was "good" not event "decent", but GOOD. Then the sequel came out and I died inside...
Should've called it "Mortal Flippin' Kombat"
To be honest, the games have a tonne of flips too.
To think Avengers 4 almost got Annihilation in the title gives me shivers...
Wouldn't be surprised if this movie is why that title wasn't given the only other title I could have got behind was Infinity Gauntlet
"Kevin, you are such a disease" 😂
But I'm not. Boo hoo hoo hooo hoooo
I understood that this movie sucks when I was 10. That says something.
Film not a movie
Anyone back here after watching Jeremy Jahns movie review of Mortal Kombat Annihilation
Yep.
Yea
Nah
I actually liked the first MK film. While it isn't the best adaptation, it's still a better one compared to a lot of film adaptations of video games
I agree.
Thank you :)
Agreed. A higher budget does not always make a film good. See Hitman.... Max Payne.... *shudders* MK was great though and certainly a lot better than it's sequel.
I honestly believe its the best video game movie ever made. Resident evil 1 a close second
Yep, to this day its still the best video game movie ever made.
12:54 I laughed so hard I fell to the floor 😂😂😂😂😂😂 that line was so dumb
Lmfao
I doubt his parents actually let him play any violent games when he was young following his latest video....
It makes me wonder what things he said about his parents in the past are true to not.
@@tobyflenderson6972 get the fuck out of here Toby.
@@CallumSteadman oh shit, I didn’t even notice your profile picture
@@tobyflenderson6972 😂😂😂😂
I highly doubt that they didn’t let him play violent video games. My family is a lot like his and they still let me play violent video games. They even let me play Mortal Kombat X
My god, the guy who play's Sub Zero's brother looks like Adam Driver.
Bow to The Lin Kuei!
You should review "Birdemic: Shock and Terror". Horrible film
*hilarious
the worst i ever seen
***** the second one??? they made a sequel??? Wow
I don't think he will survive!
Idk how I got to this video 6 years later but I love how far you've come with your reviews.~ getting better and better at leading us to the right films~
A prime example of beautiful evolution of content♡
Do food fight plz
Lmao
+mounir maged i agree XD
+NgStars Ng watch nostalgia critic XDD, funny as hell!
+Antichrist2000 Woah I was not aware of him trying to claim Scorpion... Ed Boon must have been FURIOUS Scorpion is his favorite character on his own games roster xD
+NgStars Ng He should do this movie in hilariocity form along with Son of the Mask
@7:03 I believe Scorpion was talking to the audience who paid to see this movie.
Yeah Bruce, did you know that Shao Kahn in this film repackaged one of The Undertaker's famous catchphrases?.
I think it's because Outworld is merging with Earthrealm.
Is it funny that I mixed up W.S Anderson with Wes Anderson for a long time a while ago?

@@calvincameron354 lol 😂 😂
Man, the ending in the first movie was so epic, that Shao Khan looked so menacing, but then I got REALLY disapointed when I saw this Shao Khan, he sounds like he's trying to hold his laugh every time he talks!
No, he's crying and talking at the same
time. And to be fair, I first WATCHED this
movie past week and it's even worse
than I thought it would be. It's worse
than Legacy I suppose😒😡🔥💥...
Film not a movie
I disagree but ok
I love the Home Alone part
"Meta-Predator attacks them"
and a year later, Mortal Kombat X comes out with a Predator dlc
I loved Mortal Kombat 1. Brilliant movie ❤️
District 9 had a 30 million dollar budget too...😂🤣😂🤣
It's WAY better than that flick.
For real? Wtf, and that movies was amazing
District 9. One of my favorite movies directed by one of my favorite director’s. Neil Blomkamps movies and those at OATs studios are awesome. They’re basically perfect examples of science fiction.
@@wafflebrothel7712 get ready for the sequel! It's actually happening!!

“Turned out fine!”
Thank you for that intro.
that Brithey Spears clip reference killed me)))
Me too!🤣

That Home Alone reference had me rolling! LMFAO!!!!😂😂😂
MarvelMan1989 that was spot on
Man i lost it 100% then when i came back i sub to the channel
I genuinely love the first "Mortal Kombat" movie as a decent, entertaining, fun bit of 90's cheese.
And I genuinely love "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation" as an underrated so-bad-it's-good masterpiece.
I never see it mentioned as a "so-bad-it's-good" film, but with a couple friend to riff with and a couple drinks in you... it's fucking brilliantly bad.
Film 🎥
I am not going to lie...I fucking LOVED this movie as a kid. I was aware of how stupid it was though hahaha. I had it burnt on a vhs tape, and I watched it multiple times a month.
It’s a film
Actually, the first Mortal Kombat movie was only Paul W.S. Anderson's SECOND film, his debut feature was the little-seen British juvenile delinquent caper "Shopping", starring Sadie Frost and Jude Law.
Film not a movie
That intro had me laughing so hard. The music playing in the background while you were describing how awful the special effects were, is classic.
How about a Hilariocity review of Speed 2: Cruise Control? Another horrendous sequel released in 1997 with a 3% on Rotten Tomatoes. How's that for a coincidence?
👍
Chris: “I was in elementary school in 1992”
Also Chris: Was 4 years old in 1992
This was the first movie I rented at my local Hollywood Video when it opened up.....I enjoyed it as a little kid, this is still a guilty pleasure for me.

Chris, I'm older than you, and even though this intro is quite cool, when the second movie was out people were already playing UMK3...

Mortal Kombat: Budget Annihilation
12:51 that part is absolutely amazing
Chris, you think Mortal Kombat annihilation was terrible? I am so shocked you haven't done Super Mario Bros.
Chris: “He enters with a magical backflip”
Raiden: Double front flips
😑
I effing lost it at Britney Spears! 😂😂😂🤣😂🤣😂
that home alone part fucking killed me
I love the actor for Shao Kahn. He's like Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. It's really bad, but you can't help but laugh.
That actor is Brian Thompson I used to live same town
I completely blocked this movie from my memory. And now I remember why.
It’s a film
Your Hilariocity Reviews can really teach us all one thing, what not to do while making a movie!
its amusing to me that 3% of critics actually gave this movie a positive review
4% now

that part about spiderwoman getting killed because of budget restrain LOLLLL made my day
the first mortal kombat was a bad movie yes but i think for many people its like a guilty pleasure its so bad its good ya know? but yeah the 2nd one was complete shiiiiiit idk what i hate more 2nd mortal kombat or dragonball evolution tbh
kbdemonbain I don't see how those two are even in the same league, Evolution is just unwatchable (at least it feels that way to me).
kbdemonbain That is easy for me to awnser.
That "sucker" line has baffled me for years. It's like they actually thought that was one of his catchphrases??
They had already used "Get over here!" so they had to make one up.
It was for all the people who paid to see it.....😅
Why not: "Come here!"
"Suckers" doesn't work in the
games and NEITHER in the movies.
Linden Ashby and Bridgette Wilson FTW!!
"Too bad... you're in this movie!"
I laughed so hard i almost pooped in my pants!
Film
11:19 I almost died laughing 😂!!!
is that a mario-kart /drive mashup shirt?!?!? That is OFFICIALLY the coolest shirt you have ever worn on the show.
I love your reviews. you're so honest and funny
Oh Man. Stuckmann AND Mark Roessler (Weird Movies With Mark) have GOT to do a side-by-side someday.
Stuckmann's intros are priceless ("thanks Mom...you're the best mom!" A CLASSIC)...and Roessler's insertion of himself into the movies he reviews are peerless.
Together...these 2 could make ONE AMAZING...FOR ALL TIMES...review of a ridiculously bad movie!
(I vote those 2 together...review "ANYTHING by Irwin Allen" or "To Wong Foo" or maybe even "Dangerous Men"...or (Dare I say? dare dare!)..."GetEven"? (Oh yes...there is NO shortage of revisiting that one!)
What a "Killa Collab" that would be!
My favorite part is when the music kicks in at the last fight, and Lou Kang gets his ass kicked shortly after it starts.
