Haltmann didn't mechanize Rock Star because of it's current state. Sure, it had resources, but its hard to establish a good base of operation when the whole planet is in several pieces.
Given the relationship between Kirby and their Robobot Armor, it could be that the Robobot Armors have some sentience as well as emotions, maybe as some sort of fuel or an indirect consequence of their programming.

The original version of Return to Dreamland, the one that was gonna be on Gamecube, had HR-D3 belong to King Dedede. @@melonyswife Well there's not much lore to HR-D3 unfortunately, so it's just links and assumptions. Speaking of robots, here’s something interesting I noticed in Kirby Super Star Ultra. Heavy Lobster is the boss of planet Mecheye in Milky Way Wishes. In Ultra, that HL is silver instead of the usual gold. Also in SSU, there’s a unique background for this fight. A Heavy Lobster factory. That makes me think. Is Heavy Lobster a common robot design in the Kirby Universe? Did Meta Knight’s crew really make HL or did they steal it from Mecheye? Did they create planet Mecheye as a secondary base? I don’t know. Just some questions I guess
It would be cool a what is kirby canon about galacta knight, and yes I know there's already one, but it's pretty outdated, you could tell some more theories revolving around both the light and dark form of him
The ancients basing their machines after void termina isn’t actually far off from concept art for planet robobot. At one point instead of fighting novas heart in access ark you’d fight a mechanical eye similar to zero and the inside looked like a copy of dark star. Here’s my source tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/KirbyVillainousFactions go to void termina, reused character design and click the “Star dream fight” link.
Hooplagoon's eyes remind me of the Novas. Could it be that Hooplagoon is a compass instead of a pocket watch? It's hard to tell what it's power would be, but with how its spikes protrude out i'd imagine it'd be some sort of way for the ancients to track down Jamba hearts to power their machinery. It probably extends out in every single way because of the fact Claycia is under control of Dark Crafter, as well as Kirby, a good form of Void given a focus on a kind heart. This is further supported with the fact that surrounding Hooplagoon in the background are some eyes that could be interpreted as Zero. And the final way Hooplagoon could be tracking void Laterally is with the black panel, which rotates all around only to stop down at Kirby. Keep in mind this is all speculation, but it wouldn't be too far off to say its either a tracking device or a defense force against Void Terminas. Take your pick.
I never really thought to delve into this side of Kirby lore before, and now that I think about it, the whole "emotions give rise to sentience" mantra does seem to be oddly prevalent among the Kirby bosses. I wonder how this might be expanded upon in the future. Also, it should be noted that plot holes that come from past games (like Rock star not being colonized) are highly likely since the lore was minimal at that stage. Who knows, maybe Rockstar WILL get mechanized in an HD remaster some day?
Heavy Lobster needs a video of his own, I've heard that its a rogue war machine that gut the Halberd after Vul released it, but im not very sure tbh, ALL robots in Kirby need at LEAST a segment about them
For Heavy Lobster While It Made in Mekkia (shown in super star Ultra) It Does Look Likes It Takes Orders Form Captain Vul even the Kirby Anime Heavy Lobster First Thing was To do when inside the halberd was to Free De de de so Likey he Take Orders At Best not likey to have to much Selfawareness but that doesn't it mindless It Does Reaction alot when it blinded by the paint ability
A small food for thought to add to the idea that the galactic nova and star dream are either made with void termina or build as an copy of it.. the heart of nova looks very simulair to the jamba heart. Its either a jamba heart that they use to power the machines or the heart is a repleca of the jamba hearts mimicing its powers
I have a video idea:The interesting theory that Bandana Dee could be the Waddle Dee from 64. Because they both share color palettes and Bandana Dee has a strong connection with Dedede and Kirby. Also the Waddle Dee is strong but, not as strong as Kirby and Bandana Dee is close to Kirby strength. And one of Bandana Dee's names were "Waddle Dee" in Return to Dreamland. Also noticing in Megaton Punch he can crack the Planet and in checkerboard chase the Waddle Dee destroys the blocks with ease. Seems like they have a lot in common in terms of strength. And Bandana Dee and the Waddle are very good in terms of speed. And both can jump pretty high! Also they both are very helpful when Kirby needs it the most. And let's not forget Kirby Star Allies the game where it possibly could've implied Bandana Dee to be the Waddle Dee in Adeleine and Ribbon's trailer. So to be honest I think Bandana Dee and the 64 Waddle Dee are the same in one.
I find it interesting that the trailer implies Bandana Dee is the one from 64, while the title screen interactions go out of their way to use a generic Parasol Waddle Dee in all of the explicitly 64-themed interactions, leaving out Bandana Dee. What does it mean? Well, I dunno. Maybe HAL wants to keep it ambiguous or something. But... especially if you include 64, then Bandana Dee has had an interesting little character arc across much of the series, and I like that, so it's definitely my headcanon at least. xD
I think the HWC didn’t mechanize Rock Star because it didn’t have enough resources (compared to Popstar and Earth, at least) and they though it would be a waste of time

Void is most definitely a "sentient machine" by your definitions, at least by the time he got hooked up to the Jamba Heart. I dunno, Haltmann's characteristics seem awfully human. Maybe he's a survivor of Shiver Star, knowing what could happen to the universe if his mission for prosperity fails. A motivator, of sorts. Hey, speaking of Heavy Mole, I always fancied that it was a reconstructed model of Kabula. If a blimp in the skies doesn't work, what about a mining drill in the ground? It explains why it's Dedede's "friend". And then it got rebuilt as a blimp for RotK, because nostalgia, and so on. Alternatively, Meta served to handle the Star Rod Incident as well, and was stationed right beside Heavy. What if he rebuilt the abandoned Heavy Mole into the deadlier Heavy _Lobster?_ One thing's for sure: Mekkai is a manufacturing factory for adapted Ancient technology... perhaps the Halberd itself, for example? At least for Kabula, the Heavies, and maybe even some of Halcandra and the HWC's stuff.
Completely irrelevant to the video but I wonder if Void Termina is alone? What I mean is, it says he lives in all dimensions, kinda like he’s omnipresent, maybe that’s because he’s in a plane of reality that transcends all dimensions, and therefore can exist in all dimensions simultaneously. What if he’s not alone and there are other dark gods in that dimension, maybe some that are even more threatening and horrifying than he is. I mostly got this idea from H.P Lovecraft and Stephen King’s IT, but of course less terrifying like Marx.
Ok so shiver star probaly was completly mechanized notice factory investigation is remixed in robobot in haltmans powerplant and also the sort of sad felling the song has its in a minor key and has some mornful chorus and organs in the background and ends with a terryfing almost robotic sounding choir maybe those are the robots themselves
Could Galacta Knight, Dark Meta Knight, Morpho Knight, and Meta knight be the 4 heroes who sealed void away, Galacta knight was sealed for his immense power and was able to used those heart shaped spear things, morpho knight always ends Galacta knight after he is released from his prison as if he knew about him, meta knight in the anime apparently taught the huge kabu everything, dark meta knight can control the mirrors and his sword and mask are different from meta knight
A bit confused. I thought it was stated the Metal General GAVE Haltmann his blueprints, because Egg Engines had already been overthrown by the General BEFORE hand and because of this the General And Haltmann Works Co. were similars and not adversaries. This video seems to retcon this, with Metal General instead warding OFF the Haltmann Works Co. and avoiding assimilation...or maybe I’m just interpreting this wrong.
Bagel God just a bit of theory crafting and head cannon I guess from my part. I feel like Meteroz mentioned it in the Haltmann video but maybe not. I’m just not entirely sure what Metal General’s purpose for confronting Kirby was. If he’s a native of Egg Engines that guards against intruders, then what happened to the rest of the natural life? Was it always so cold, and metallic? You can see in the background of his boss fight multiple towers and houses so was there a society that once lived there? If so, what happened to them? We really don’t see any civilization on Egg Engines apart from the machinery and the basic Kirby fauna. Did the ancients use to take residence there? So many unanswered and intriguing questions...
ToxiCastigator well it was on halcandra were artifacts made by the ancients like the lor starcutter were hidden. So they must have been there at one point. Heck hyness and magolor (whos from halcandra) look very similar. if they would hide things like the master crown and lor on halcandra then it must be important. It makes sense to me that the Ancient built and lived in egg engines for some time.

I’m pretty sure shiver Star is us in a few years
Either Shiver Star or Dangerous dinner.
Ngl I thought this was a troll at first
Clicked as soon as I saw it
1:14 I don’t know why but void termina’s true form opening up like that made me really uncomfortable
I think another example of mechanized planets, is mekkai a.k.a the metal planet from Milky Way wishes.
Mind in the P-R-O-G-R-A-M.
I laughed so hard when he said, "what is sentience"
Good job
Amazing
yes
Bro I love your content I love Kirby canon
Kirby is cool and all but what about the droid attack on the wookies?
Completely irrelevant to the video but I wonder if Void Termina is alone? What I mean is, it says he lives in all dimensions, kinda like he’s omnipresent, maybe that’s because he’s in a plane of reality that transcends all dimensions, and therefore can exist in all dimensions simultaneously. What if he’s not alone and there are other dark gods in that dimension, maybe some that are even more threatening and horrifying than he is. I mostly got this idea from H.P Lovecraft and Stephen King’s IT, but of course less terrifying like Marx.
i like your videos
So, Haltmann stole resources right? Haltway Go Go
Wait. Is this...
IS THIS A NEW PART OF KIRBY CANON AND NOT A REMAKE?!
When Are You Kirby Canon On The Beast Pack And Elflin?
A time between space and time
Maybe Shiver Star's nuclear winter is actually the result of what happened to Earth after the dreadful year of 2020
Not even 3 minutes and I'm already commenting
Could Galacta Knight, Dark Meta Knight, Morpho Knight, and Meta knight be the 4 heroes who sealed void away,
Galacta knight was sealed for his immense power and was able to used those heart shaped spear things, morpho knight always ends Galacta knight after he is released from his prison as if he knew about him, meta knight in the anime apparently taught the huge kabu everything, dark meta knight can control the mirrors and his sword and mask are different from meta knight
When did it ever say that metal general overthrown egg engines or that he gave haltmann co his blueprints? Was it on miiverse?
Machines are cool
My lord and savior Kirby has killed many demons in his life
Wouldn't Coily Rattler, the Paint sisters, and flowery woods be sentient. I know it doesn't have anything to do with machines but I mean Coily rattler was a statue, flower woods was a flower and the paint sisters are well paintings
Yea, they are definitely sentient.
Tbh, I haven't played planet robobobot but you mention that Haltmman reconstructed Stardream, so that probably that the original one is still out there?
hey meteorz, wanted to ask if you have seen the nintendo news on super kirby clash and the foreshadowing of the dark aeon hero showing up in a future game.
Talk about The anime and whether or not its really canon or if the characters exist in the game universe given the games especially the recent ones have been making references to it
HR-E, HR-H, HR-D3... HR= Haltman Robot?!?! 🤔
PLEASE BRING WHAT IS KIRBY CANON MORE FREQUENTLY PLEASEEEE
Did you know that gigabyte grounds was actually a part of overload ocean, before it gets sucked up into the blenders/vacuum cleaners. We know this because of Kirby fighters two, with the stage called “ dried up sea”. Just a cool fact. Not much lore.
the blenders looked like they had oil or petroleum. maybe they sucked it dry for oil?
I wasn’t even notified yet I still manage to click early
Oh, man...
Gim, he's always been the confusing one to me,
he sure seems alive but he's just a little gas powered automaton, what makes him special?
he has a hat and a yoyo.
Maybe when haltman took resourses from Rock Star, he destroyed it in the prosses. This will explain why Rock Star's Japenese Name is Destroyed Star. this situation for Rock Star is WORSE....then Shiver Star/Earth.
I don't really think the background music here works very well, I found it kinda distracting and grating. Other than that, amazing content as always!
But wait what if all these senescent machine are using the gears the Lor Star Cutter uses.
Star Dream is like Cell on dragon ball in a way
Only you can make something that sounds mundane into something interesting.
The Lor Starcutter is sentient?
