    Good tips. Here's another idea to use the GoPro High Frame rate and using multiple cameras at different angles to capture some object and playback all views together in slow motion. FutureVideo's Multi-View HD Pro 2 can take 8 videos, synchronize them using GoPro's metadata timecode, and play them all together in real-time without having to edit or render. It's great to see all angles in slow motion.

    Playing with my camera just now - Hero 10 - you cannot use SuperView with 120fps. Looking at the video it has changed from 120 to 60fps (4:00 and 4:22 on the video - it's defaulted back to 4K / 60fps) after you switched it back to Wide. My camera a white pop-up screen comes up to let me know that 4K/120 is not possible with SuperView. Love your content though. I refer to you often!

    Tip number 5 - do I move the camera at normal speed or slow down to get footage. For instance walking - normal or slow down? Or, if I’m stationary and moving the camera move it at normal speed or slow down?

    • @GreatDayForAHike

      Great question. It’s best to move the camera at normal speed. This will look best later on when you slow it down.

      This relates to a setting on the Preferences menu under the General option. If you change the Anti-Flicker menu option to 60Hz you’ll then see 120 available as a frame rate.

    They only play slow motion on the GoPro.

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  2 года назад +1

      Yes, this is because they are not “seen” as slow motion by other devices. You have to tell the video to become a slow motion file essentially. This can be done via video editing software or the GoPro Quik app. This video shows one example of how to do this (in Premiere Pro): ruclips.net/video/f_p23ORkBzg/видео.html

    • @GreatDayForAHike

      It does not matter which mode you choose to configure with these settings. I simply chose the Activity mode but if you want to choose Ultra Slo-mo mode that is okay too. You can configure the preset heading that you want these settings to exist under.

      Just recorded a few 4k 120 W, slow-motion videos. Checked them in the Quick app and they look super choppy and not smooth at all. Some play in real-time, but very choppy too. Also, I can hear all the background sounds. No idea what is wrong.
      Any suggestions? Thank you 🙏🏻

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  2 года назад +1

      This may be due to a limitation of your phone. 4K 120 footage is very resource demanding and I have found that certain phones cannot play it smoothly depending upon the specs of the phone. 4K 120 will record sound as well just like the other video modes. If you do not want the sound you would need to mute it or remove it from the clip when editing.

      Make sure your video compression is set to allow HEVC. Also check to make sure you’re not in 4K 4:3 mode and make sure your lens isn’t set to Superview. Any of these being set will not allow for 4K 120.

    A Q needs you kindly help with: Anybody there also has trouble with GoPro 10 not uploading all media to Quick app on iPhone? Tends to miss a couple of videos or photos, answer from google is that the missing ones are not compatible with phone, but why other clips with same setting can? Thanks!

    • @GreatDayForAHike
      @GreatDayForAHike  2 года назад +1

      It’s possible that higher resolution/frame rate combinations are causing this error because these use the HEVC codec. For instance 5.3K 60 or 4K 120 will likely need to be downloaded to your iPhone first before they can be viewed.
      This could be a different issue too but that is what this initially sounds like.
