So many normal cameras, like my Pano GX8, only create timelapses in still format, it’s so great that GoPro gives the video output option. If you try to capture small plants, then the GoPro is probably not the best solution. The lens is simply too wide - the challenge in this task is mainly to fix the camera as stable as possible and to switch it on and off again and again without moving it.

I want to record some plants growing inside my house. How should I set up my Gopro Hero 10? I will connect it with the battery directly to a wall socket to avoid battery problems. The time-lapse will be at least 25 days. Is it possible?
It will be tough - the battery will not last and every time you turn it on or off you will move the camera. Maybe you could try to control it with the smartphone to avoid any kind of movement.
What would you suggest for a Time Lapse of a painting/mural on the side of a building (GoPro will be mounted and stable)? It'll take them approx 10 days, and they'll stop to take breaks when it's hot in the day time, and they'll also do some painting at night as well (to try and take advantage of the cooler temps in July here). Thanks for any input...I'm thinking I may need to also change the format from Time Lapse to Night Lapse once it gets darker...right?

You could take a few photos every day - not possible by using the standard time lapse settings - you could try to use scheduled capture in photo mode

If you mount it on tripod you can also use NightLapse during the day - just use a long interval and a power bank

Hi, no you cannot switch it on and off. The protune settings are just additional settings

Can you use it as timelapse for 2 weeks and set recording to e.g. only working days from 6-16. Need it for a restoration project
Not by using the standard settings. Perhaps by using the GoPro Labs Firmware - but I'm not sure

timelapse is fun and all, but the battery last about 30 mins with that.. so no.. i rather use a dslr for timelapses.
