Werner, glad I have discovered you and your channel. You are an expert at explaining, a great teacher. You explain calmly, really perfect! I am tired of those who try to be clowns and talk in an exaggerated way at the same time!
So many normal cameras, like my Pano GX8, only create timelapses in still format, it’s so great that GoPro gives the video output option. Just bought a GP10, so looking forward to testing out this little camera on my adventures. Thanks for a very comprehensive tutorial, very nicely done sir, thank you
You my friend are a good teacher. I was a public school teacher for 31 years. You are an excellent teacher. Thanks so much for your knowledge share. My mother was from Neibsheim.
Just got into gopro timelapse and I am so glad I found your channel. Words cannot express how much I appreciate your work and content. Thank you for all the guidance and detailed information!
Your channel is like one of the best for GoPro tutoriais and settings. Really crystal clear and rich information. Are you having any overheating trouble with GP10? Is there any cage or accessory to help with that? Keep these GoPro videos coming! Thanks!
Great video. Thorough, succinct and kept my interest. I had a hard time understanding the start portion of time warp on another video; your explanation showed how simple it was. Thanks for the setting suggestions. Subscribed. 👍
Thank you for this great video!! Just found out, that I have to remove my internal battery when using external powerbank for long shots.. otherwise Hero empties internal battery and shuts down😎
Thank you , Werner, for the excellent info, greetings from out of Belgium, btw. Meran and surrounding villages like dorf tirol and schenna are very beautiful
I really like your Video! Thumbs up! Almost all my question are answered now. But one importing thing: Which mode would you use, to save the battery and get the longest capture? Timelapse Photo or video mode? And any specific settings? I´m planing to capture a cunstruction site for about 8+ hours.
hi there, great content! what would be your exact settings for a camera flyer to take photos? i use a gopro 10 for videos and i just got a gopro 10 for photos.. during freefall my head is the tripod and i think we take an average 300 photos freefall lasts around 40 seconds Time lapse ->Linear ->? thank u!
Greetings, can you tell me the maximum duration of the time-lapse shooting? Is it limited to 1 hour? We are engaged in the demolition of buildings and structures. I would like to use this camera for time lapse shooting for a longer time with a more powerful battery. Building demolition can take up to 30 days. I would like to use an interval of 1 frame per 5 minutes.
How long can you timelapse on the Camera? I'm planning on doing a project and planning on recording a timelapse for a few months. Is this the right one for me?
Does the battery last much longer in time lapse mode than when shooting a real time video? If I choose 1 second intervals, or 2 or 5 .. is there some magic interval where one battery will last, say, 6 hours?
Fantastic video detailing each mode and setting! Does your Timelapse start when you hit the Record button? For some reason my Night Lapse works no problem, but my Timelapse doesn't respond at all when I press the Record button (no scheduled record or anything).
Si, if I well understood, Protune Shutter, which is able to set the shutter speed manually, cannot be used in any kind of timelapse mode (I e both video and photo). Is it correct?
how long can the gopro last shooting a daytime timelapse before it overheats? for example, can I shoot a 5 hour timelapse with the gopro plugged into a bank?
Hello, I am trying to create a time lapse of plants growing over a 10-week period. Do you have any recommendations? Is the GoPro Hero10 a good camera choice for this application? Cheers!
If you try to capture small plants, then the GoPro is probably not the best solution. The lens is simply too wide - the challenge in this task is mainly to fix the camera as stable as possible and to switch it on and off again and again without moving it.
I see your time lapse videos also slowly zoom in or out, I take it this is done in post? Could you do a next level time lapse video tutorial which also shows how this is done? Thank you, great informative video👍
Awesome explanation, how do you record in protune mode or does it automatically do it and does the file say recorded in protune ? I understand the protune settings well but on my hero 4 you could switch it on and off is it the same as the 10? I’m a bit confused thanks
What would you suggest for a Time Lapse of a painting/mural on the side of a building (GoPro will be mounted and stable)? It'll take them approx 10 days, and they'll stop to take breaks when it's hot in the day time, and they'll also do some painting at night as well (to try and take advantage of the cooler temps in July here). Thanks for any input...I'm thinking I may need to also change the format from Time Lapse to Night Lapse once it gets darker...right?
@@MountMediaChannel thanks! Yeah, it’ll be mounted. If it’s going to be for a week or two (they’re uncertain exactly how long the mural will take), what interval would you recommend (esp if it goes into night time and I’m not always there to make setting adjustments)? 10 sec or other? I may also need to get a larger memory card, currently have 256GB. Appreciate the input…🤙🏽
Hello MountMedia, what do you think the perfect settings would be for a longer time lapse recording of a house being constructed from nothing being there to a finished house? This process will probably take something like 8 months.
I want to record some plants growing inside my house. How should I set up my Gopro Hero 10? I will connect it with the battery directly to a wall socket to avoid battery problems. The time-lapse will be at least 25 days. Is it possible?
It will be tough - the battery will not last and every time you turn it on or off you will move the camera. Maybe you could try to control it with the smartphone to avoid any kind of movement.
How long can I record? they're asking me to do a 12 hour time lapse, I can't find information about time limits. Assuming I have enough memory and It is connected to the power.
I have GoPro 9 Camera . I want to do the one year continuously time laps vedio. Is it OK for the camera. It has the capacity to do. Is it need to cover the camera.please help me

Thx Helge!
Wow you're rhe GOAT go pro teacher. So good at explaining how and why
Your voice is so relaxing. Now I understand the settings on my Hero 10. Thanks so much for an excellent and calming presentation.
I'm looking into the Hero10 for Kite Aerial Photography and this is the first video that has answered all my questions, so thank you very much!
interesting to use a kite! Do you have a portfolio of them built up yet that you'd like to show off? Cause I'm quite interested in the results now :)
Just purchased a GoPro 10 and have no idea what I’m doing with Timelapse’s and other modes. Very thankful for your channel!
Just stumble upon your channel and saw videos of City of Meran. Now am feeling nostalgic😊

Hello MountMedia, what do you think the perfect settings would be for a longer time lapse recording of a house being constructed from nothing being there to a finished house? This process will probably take something like 8 months.
You could take a few photos every day - not possible by using the standard time lapse settings - you could try to use scheduled capture in photo mode
i tried a time lapse a few days ago but unfortunately a battery that was full died after 30 minutes. Not sure what i did wrong :(

Not by using the standard settings. Perhaps by using the GoPro Labs Firmware - but I'm not sure
hallo, Do you have a free GP 10 camera, ,,,, ................ i want thet

In timelapse mode i wonder how you keep the battery charged
You could use a power bank

That's not possible
@@MountMediaChannel but can I slow the video down? It's a GoPro10
👍👍 bos
Great video. I felt like I was being seduced with your settings options. 😂
I accidentally recorded a video in Time Warp, how do I convert it back to a normal speed video without the time warp effect?
timelapse is fun and all, but the battery last about 30 mins with that.. so no.. i rather use a dslr for timelapses.
