Damn, sorry to hear about this, I have a headlight modification business (Home of Headlights) and done the same build for a customer last year. Everything went good apart from the drl error which I believe is due to the higher current draw from the additional module required for the RGBW features. The work around would be to wire it to an ignition source but it just means you don't have control from the headlight switch which is the downside but no error. Condensation definitely due to cutting the lens off which you don't actually need to do for this, you can open it up but its harder work and requires longer baking. Your video helped me alot with the install so thank you again. In the future you can always give us a shout if you want your headlights modified.
I was considering getting this done on mine since the drls are going yellow but after listening to the dramas unfold with yours I'm going to straight up pass on it. Sorry that you had to go through all this and appreciate you taking the time to create this vid.
That brings a tear to my eye mate my rs3 2020 carbon edition is my pride and joy it has 10000km on it and its up for sale,I've had not one problem with it ,I've got a 2023 carbon edition arriving in Melbourne soon I plan to keep and modify this one ,thank you for sharing this terrible story
Your RS3 is a beaut and the RGB lights would have been great. Thanks for sharing that the mob you went with are no good technically and no good ethically. Great call out and one to avoid.
I watched another video that you need to bake the headlights in an oven in order to remove the lens. If they cut it as you said, it would be very dodgy.
That’s the problem with modern complicated cars, just about everything is tied together with the electrical and correct programming is critical, I wouldn’t mess with aftermarket electrical gear and in all honesty I prefer the factory lights but it sucks seeing others go through what you did.
Well I know this company and know of another person that got done in! You might not be able to make and shake due to legal reasons but does not mean your viewers can’t!🤜🤛
Wow Alex, what a nightmare! You are the most patient person I know, and how you keep your cool is beyond me. Sad watching.

If I've saved one person from going through the same drama, then I'm happy 😁👍
that's crazy, Glad you're back on the road now
Feel for you bro. Good on you for posting it up.

did the coding fix the right side drl fault?
Actually, the DRL fault was fixed by replacing the small LED DRL module, which had fried itself.
Thank you for sharing. I was about to go with this company and now I won't. They don't know what they are doing, so shouldn't be in business at all.

Man it sucks you couldn’t enjoy that car all those months. Hopefully some updates to the car wil still happen ..
I know it's not related to the subject here but, what are those red bars inside your front bumper? Gives a nice look!
They are already there from the factory (structural support maybe), I just wrapped mine red! Hehe
@@frax77 oohh nice, I'm gonna do that too, it looks sick!!

Couldn't agree more....big lesson learnt for me.
@@frax77 would hate to see you sell the RS3, they are an awesome car. Mines on a ship at the moment, can’t wait till it’s here
