This was done at 10:48 in the morning. (See phone time as he takes the scooter). Do it at 4 pm and Nicky would spend about the same money and the journey length would be about the same. On the other hand , Liam will be in bumper to bumper traffic getting out of TA and into jerusalem. It will cost him at least double and take an extra 45 mins to an hr. ….. and nicky will sweat less!!

What time of year was this filmed? It looks roasting
The new fast train to Jerusalem is incredible.
The diesel train route to Jeruzalem had its own charm though.
@@itze25 The diesel route was breaking the wheels of the only train capable of running it which is why it closed.
Nah no good and I don't care
I did this once. I took the OLD train. I still beat my family who drove. By a large margin.
The old train is a BEAUTIFUL ride through the Judean Hills.
Liam and Spencer, my favourite chaotic, comedic and cute Travel Hosts are back! It’s always a delight to see how drama unfolds ❤
Nicky: (drops GoPro on a bumpy road)
Liam: “I’ll tell you what: This is not the start we wanted.”
Props to the Editor who made this moment.
So fun to see you guys in Israel. Great video! When there’s traffic (which is almost all of the time) the train is definitely the better option.

had you dropped off at Damascus Gate instead at the city hall you would have won hands down. No stairs, a straight line to the western wall
Great to see you in Israel. As other told, had you left during the rush hours the train would have been 2 times quicker than the taxi.
The more, you could have bought a "daily ticket", would have cost you 35sh including all the public transport lines for a day :D
Nice tip! Thank you.
Rav kav or the app is the way to go for sure! (though it doesn't cover scooters)
This bring back such memories. When I lived in Israel (1985-1993), there was no such thing as high-speed trains or light rail. They had a very antiquated train service that took me 4 hours to go from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

I am shocked of the result as an Israeli who literally used to commute between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem that public transit didn’t win simply because of the usually awful traffic in both cities and the roads between them
Seems like they went at 11 am. I wish they would try this at 8 Am or 5 pm. Train would win easily
@@ezrabarides4278 yeah even at 11 it should have been train but makes it closer. At my commutes over train was far faster than car in rush hours
I love those intense races.
Very curious that your taxi driver took you via 443 and not route 1 which is faster
Traffic from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is almost always a given, and it can take at least two hours (if you're lucky). The bullet train takes you right from downtown Tel Aviv to downtown Jerusalem in less than half the time, so it's very convenient.
I want more from this kind of video's ; Inside one country. Bc I have no drivers license (medical reasons). So I depend on public transport or taxis. And that's the only reason I'm a bit freakin out about the options xD
@The Points Guy UK You chaps are some of the best on RUclips by far, I love the humour and pure spontaneity you both exuberate and bring to fore. Love the coverage as always and as well as always up to see a good old race between you guys. Great video.

Met Nicky on the train! Lovely bloke. Been waiting a few months for them to upload this.
Love the video but if you had done it earlier in the day, no chance the taxi would win. Traffic toward Jerusalem is a nightmare.
Next we want to see a Milan Rome race
I can't believe you guys have been here. I always wanted to see you travel on EL AL or just take a trip to Israel. But a whole race in Israel, wow, it definitely exceeded my expectations!! 💗

Amazing! Love to see this
Enjoyed your video very much. I visited Jerusalem in 2017 and took a sherut taxi (shared taxi) which is supposed to be an institution in Israel. I can't remember how much I paid but it wasn't a lot and I was the first to be dropped off. On the way back, I took my own taxi and it was at least 600 shekels because of the traffic jam.
600 shekels???!!!! It’s supposed to be 200-300 max! You definitely got ripped off.
@@reginaphalange9316 Yes I did get ripped off. I fell asleep so I think the driver tampered with the meter. He said he was taking a different route due to the traffic.
Expectation: Public transport is much faster because of the train ride, no traffic jams
Mid video: oh no... To the western wall? Well it's a very fair comparison and it will be tight.

so good!
You should have taken the bus from the light rail to the western wall. You couldve won
Yes I was thinking that too! There is a shuttle like every few minutes from Zion Square where the light rail ends. The walk down is at least fifteen minutes even if you run.
You can get a day pass that covers TLV and Jerusalem for 32 shekels ☺️
Thank you very much for an interesting review. I am 20 years old, unfortunately I am disabled, I live with my parents. I never had friends in real life, just like in a relationship, I spent my whole life on the Internet. I also created a channel, though so far it's not working well (( I am writing this comment just to make you feel good)
Great fun!!
that train line is def not high speed tho
No one said it id high speed train. It's referred to as the fast train as the old line was super slow and with basically a sreight line through a series of tunnels and bridges it is faster than most other options.
With such a short segment and a 3% incline there is no point in a real high speed train.
In general Israel is a bit small for high speed trains but a 250 kph line between Haifa and Beer Sheva through Tel Aviv is planned. The first section, from Haifa to Tel Aviv is in the pproval stages.
There is also an approved high speed 300 kph line to Eilt but it os on hold as it is deamed as not viable (the current estimated cost of about 10B pounds, a bit too much to connect a 50,000 inhabitant city). That said, tue "first stage" is underway (approval stages) but only to improve the slow and bearly used line from Beer Seva to Domona.
Love this 😊
But none of them touched the wall
Tel Aviv Israel is awesome!
I loved it is how fun! In my city
Just a note to Nicky: Velcro Shoes are your only friend while running.
I could be wrong but i believe that Nicky is Jewish?

The taxi driver robbed you btw. Road 443?? Road 1 and Road 16 (new tunnel opened since the filming), and you can drive right up to the Western Wall entrance. Would've saved 10s of minutes.
It’s so beautiful to see all of the Jewish people in the background. Thank you so much for this content!
What a fun way to show off how beautiful Israel is!

I’ve had 1 taxi ride in Israel and It was the last. Driver using wake on 1 device whilst talking to someone on his phone , texting on WhatsApp and watching videos on another device. I’m just glad it was 1am lol. Much prefer having my own car lol. Everyone said parking would be a nightmare, but with Waze and Pango it was pretty easy. Looking forward to my next visit.
Nice you guys come visit in israel good video as always
I didn't realize the Train station doesn't have English letters so you really need to learn Hebrew to understand the letters. Just like in Japan.
the railway in Israel is mostly tri-lingual, Hebrew, Arabic and English, you'll be fine!
All signs are in Hebrew, English and, usually, Arabic. The departure electronic sign is in Hebrew and the English and Arabic change between them (if you look closely you can se it on the board shots).
Station announsments are mostly only in Hebrew but electronic signs are also in English and Arabic inside the train. On many buses and on the light rail both signs and announsments are in all 3 languages.
Next time you can make a video which in coach vs train
yayyayayyayyayyayya 🇮🇱 how fun! yayyayayyay
Just a taxi, no Uber in Israel
There is no wifi on the train.

based
as an israeli, dont get a cab. you'll probably will be stuck in traffic forever.
Also, Public transport is so much cheaper
That's not a high speed train.
No one said it was. As hecsaid, it is called the fast line as it's almost a straight line going, in the last segment, through the mountains in 20km of tunnels (4 tunnels, the longest one ~12km) and on bridges with a top speed of 160 km/h climbing from about sea level to 800m. The old line, constructed during the ottoman rule (opened in 1892), winded down along the mountes (no tunnels) and the ride took about 80 minutes.
A true high speed line is pointless for this rout but therer will be one connecting Haifa, Tel Aviv and Beer Sheva. Another high speed line to Eilat was approved but due to high costs it's on hold.
Brilliant video, boys! Keep it up!!!
This is awesome!
