If you have tried a few times and your Macbook did not read your V8 sound card, I suggest try using the other Live port-like llive #2 instead of Live #1. Or use a different micro usb to usb type A. You can also try rebooting your macbook then try reconnecting again.

Perhaps the issue is the adapter like lightning adapter for iPhone. If you’re using the wrong one, you will only hear but won’t record. I got my adapter from Apple Store.
I just got my v8 but I can’t use it it doesn’t work on my MacBook Air what else do I need upon checking on Amazon there is a lot of USB port and I also need a lightning cable right for the sounds to plug into the mobile. Thanks

thank you for the video! I faced some obstacles in setting up maybe my own problem. The mic dont hv any sound after connecting exactly the same as yours and at the setting there we do fol the input and output settings but still cannot work. Can you help me pleasee~~~
You should not see the mic on your mac since mic is supposed to be connected to the V8 sound card so you should only see Mv silicon usb or the v8 on your mac as input and output.

So same thing, have you connected your midi to the V8 sound card? Again usb mv silicon usb should be showing on your mac as input and output and you have to select that.
@@jenuds I did disconnect a few time , restarted but only get External Microphone or headset , no V* or USB if I plug the small jack from V8 Linje 1 to mac air on side sound plug right side ??? :( ??

Try nyo pong ulitin magrecord. Please remove phone case kung nasa case po at make sure nakaconnect ng mabuti ang TRRS sa headphone port ng phone nyo po (yong other end ay nakaconnect sa live 1 or 2 ng V8). Make sure nakataas ang Record volume knob. Kung ayaw parin. Gamit po kayo ng ibang TRRS to 3.5mm jack.
Baka po sa setting. Watch nyo po ulit ang sound setting at 3:49 sa video nato. Kung wala pa ron audio, check nyo po ang source volume ng music baka po nakalow.

Please make sure Record volume knob is on high as that is your output volume to your Recording or Streaming.

Most likely you’re using lightning adapter for headphone only and won’t work for Recording. I bought my adapter from Apple Store.

Most common issue is the lightning adapter if you’re recording from an iPhone. You can only hear but not recording. Was this your case?

You may try to disconnect and reconnect your V8 sound card perhaps your mac is not recognizing your V8 sound card which happens sometimes.
